i was dead set on getting the 920 over the weekend, until i got "poisoned" by my cousin to try out the 1520. was thoroughly impressed with it , and decided to delay my purchase and carry out my research if its worth the additional 1k.
it was all perfect, until i saw the low light pictures and videos.
i mean, wth nokia. my n8 can shoot better video lah. i hope its a software issues, and can easily be resolved with an update. until then, i will not consider it at all.

QUOTE(1likegadg3t @ Dec 16 2013, 05:54 PM) I think still okay if you compare with other phone but i hope the update will make it better. if it fails to challenge 1020 or z1 , i can understand. but when you look at the videos, note 3 and iphone 5s can shoot better low light videos compared to 1520. its amazing how badly nokia screwed up here. NOISE NOISE NOISE everywhere! 1520 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Note 3 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « htc 1 ( yes this even this phone can shoot videos with less noise ) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by ribut thai: Dec 16 2013, 05:52 PM

QUOTE(hox @ Dec 16 2013, 08:35 PM) HTC one got the biggest pixel in the market today at 2μm, hence the good lowlight video performance, only lose out for still details as it is only 4MP. I think the 1520 issue is more hardware limitation than software. The only software 'fix' we as owner can do is to manually lower shutter speed for lowlight shots, hence lowering the ISO a bit. But this works for static objects only as moving objects will be blurred. ouch, if its hardware, no hope lah like this. looks like i will be saving my 1k and get the 920 instead.
