From Saturday afternoon Nokia workshop, I left early...  Some photos that I took:  TS has a heart.  Felicia, the presenter.  Look at all the 1520s.   Charp with a 1520 user.  Splitted into different groups to teach users about the "Room" and the HERE suite. A lot of 1020 users in the room.  an ex-iPhone user with her new 1520, look at that size of that phone!  Gorgeous screen.  This guy manages to make his 1020 into 1080p display (Photobeamer)  Users requested a feature on WP8, a detonate button. |

Whatsapp is okay good but sometimes it will miss notifications.

Say, a small tripod? From the video, if you're holding the phone on the table and using a finger to maintain the balance then yes, the phone itself will get some vibration hence the OIS kicks in and for sure you will see some shaking when zoom (digital zoom at that). When using a DSLR to take a timelapse/long exposure shots, the photogs would usually use a remote because you cannot trust your hands and the holding the shutter tend to gives in some shake hence it would be wise for people to mount their camera on a tripod, frame the shot, use a remote to trigger or use timer. Waze is using OpenGL to render the maps while WP8's Waze is using Direct3D, I suspect this is the cause of battery drain. Because of MS's ego on Direct3D and zero support for OpenGL which is why the cause of sluggish performance and battery performance. So the current use of Waze is just for you to check traffic, not for navigating. |
