If you have a spoiled stepper motor than u can get this unit as a replacement without buying the whole set of the throttle body.

Morning when u first crank your engine, stepper motor assist you for cold start (auto choke) 1800rpm or 2000rpm. Once engine warmed up it will slowly reducing the idling to the level where it should be like 850rpm or 900rpm.

Stepper motor also help u to stable your idling when u turn on your car air-cond/ head light during the night/ turning the power steering during the parking (apply for those with power steering pump pressure switch). So that your car engine will not stall during the heavy current load applied.

If your stepper motor having problem, than easily can be detect such as:
-no cold start during morning when u first crank your engine, engine vibrate and easy stall.
-on air cond and engine straight away stall or idling rpm going up & down (idling hunting).
-or u are using the additional FICD on your engine now, which is it shouldn't be. (additional FICD is to stable your idling when u on your air-cond through adjusting the valve from the FICD, which mean your stepper motor totally out or service).

By changing the stepper motor, you may get back your standard operation idling reading from the cold start and heavy current load.
Receiving the correct signal output from the ECU to Throttle body stepper motor and getting the smooth idling respond for the engine during cold start or even on the air cond.
Avoid rough idling/ idling hunting around (up & down) or sudden engine stall issue.

Hi, I am using Mitsu 4G63 NA engine. My problem is strong vibration when idling with or without ac  running. The vibration is worse when in gear than neutral. The RPM is abt 600 with ac on and abt 700 when ac off and the idle RPM is up and down a little. Is that caused by faulty stepper motor?
