V1 is the old type.

V2 - is the new version which has a new security SI mark.  drool.gif

Boss, just saw the silver today.. It is all sunshine mint.. got it for 2.55 per gram.. The dude upped it because the spot went up... cry.gif

I think all are the 1st version, because I don't see any SI mark at the back.. I am uploading a picture for you to see. but i still think the price is good since it is only .30cents above spot.. what do you think?.. a good deal?? rclxub.gif

Happy Collecting.. whistling.gif

Ya, 0.30 above spot is good price... u might want to randomly test a few pieces to see if genuine....

Thanks for your recommendation. I actually had done the magnet test for everyone of the bars.. now I am going to open a couple of them to the density ones.. thanks again..

No lah, was thinking 5oz only mintage of 50k... compare to 1oz mintage of 8 mio... also better than gold panda leh....

Then we have to go to the Bank of China branch and buy it?.. any other special process to be done? Thanks for the information... good news...

haha cool down men,

let's change to another topic smile.gif

Anyone here collecting numismatics coin/bullion as hobby or investment?

I am collecting Panda Silver/Gold but been hibernating since early of 2013.. previously i bought all kind of bars/coins, but all of these bullion i'd cleared it, only left the numismatics one laugh.gif

Great Question.. rclxms.gif for me personally I started in November 2013... the 7th to be exact. Initially was buying with the concept of greater oz's for the money spent. Then I started reading some of the posts in various forums and blogs.. then started buying numismatic... then went to semi-numis without knowing what they were.. he he he .. then went back to very low premium focusing mainly on desperate sellers. rclxm9.gif

So now, after 8 months, I still don't have a clue on what is the correct collecting strategy. rclxub.gif I am to assume that it is totally different from each individual's perspective or point of view. But the underlying strategy that overrides everything else for me is that the silver that I am buying now is not for me to sell... it is considered the little treasure or "harta karun/pusaka" for my children to decide what to do with in the future. cool2.gif

I buy bars, rounds, coins, triangles, stars, bullets and anything that looks interesting to me but the low premium stuff is still something that I buy consistently. whistling.gif My wife on the other hand concentrates only on gold. So my silver collecting gets a little throttled because I have to pay for her gold for my loving wife.. he he he.. wub.gif

just my little feedback.. Happy Stacking/Collecting...

Love the way you phrased that last paragraph.

Anyway, whats a good brand/recommend brand of silver bar to get if its a choice between Johnsons. M and Scotsdale ?
*
Thank you Shankar..that's is for the benefit of the BOSS in case she sees these posts.. ha ha ha ... for me what I have found that the JM's are perceived to be something that carries a slightly higher premium than the Scotsdale though I don't know why. Maybe due to the history that is tied to the JM bars. So if you were to make a choice between these 2 bars and the price difference is negligible, I would certainly go for the JM Bars.

Happy Collecting/Stacking.. cool2.gif
