Takde rezeki Kelantan semalam. Pahang memang berhak menang PM. Semangat nak menang lagi tinggi dari TRW.

Baru 1st season Liga Super dah top 6 liga, semi-finalist FA cup, Champion Piala Malaysia. A very good achievement actually.

Kelantan should be proud too.. since 2009 - 2013 (5 tahun), 4 kali masuk final Piala Malaysia, menang 2 kali, runners-up 2 kali. Overall, Liga Super 2 kali, FA Cup 2 kali, total 6 titles in 5 years. Outstanding achievement.

Season depan, boleh tengok perubahan besar-besaran dalam bolasepak Malaysia dengan JDT reset, Selangor reset, PDRM reset even N9 pun reset.

Buat masa sekarang ni, layan EPL la dulu biggrin.gif

More sport science stuff....

This expert tells us that instead of lambasting Nazmi Faiz or Wan Zack or Akmal Rizal sebab tak tahan duduk luar sebab rindu awek/nasi lemak/pavilion, we must predict that and provide support system before-hand.

Saw a few pics circulating on twitter abt pahang pny team attire before match lengkap dgn suit...
Good job walaupun tu utk final je
Terigt zaman dato aini selangor dulu...player bekerja. Bkn pg shopping atau lepak pavi...

Some might argue that it is not practical to wear suits and tie in this country but who cares. Paling busuk pon satu team pakai tracksuit team lengkap pon dah ok actually...jangan jadi team badminton malaysia dah lah...

Pahang lebih layak menang. Tengok game Pahang ni ada ala-ala Harimau Malaya. Banyak bergantung kepada serangan dari sayap. TRW main agak relaks. Ni yang payah kalau Dickson jadi target man. Asyik long ball je.

Pahang are Malaysia Cup champions

Pahang players lift the Malaysia Cup after beating defending champions and favourites Kelantan in the final at Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday night. - The STAR/ SS Kanesan

SHAH ALAM : Thank you, Matias Conti !

The Argentine’s 60th minute strike was all it took for Pahang to end their 21-year wait to lift the coveted Malaysia Cup.

Last night, at the Shah Alam Stadium, the Elephants went into the final as the underdogs but they ended the day by upstaging defending champions Kelantan 1-0 in a pulsating final.

It was a dream come true as Pahang, under the guidance of coach Dollah Salleh, went into the final as the pundits’ pick for the loser’s medal.

They had no big names in their side and none had experienced a Cup final before.

The fancied Red Warriors, on the other hand, were packed with star names and had played in four finals in the last five years.

The downpour just before kick-off failed to dampen the party-like atmosphere at the stadium.

Players from both teams found it difficult to get a grip on the game due to the wet and slippery conditions, resulting in plenty of anxious moments at both ends.

The main talking point in the first half must be referee Nagor Amir Noor Mohd’s decision to award Kelantan a penalty in the 25th minute – and then rescind it.

Kelantan striker Dickson Nwakaeme was racing with the ball into the box when Pahang defender Damion Stewart clipped his heels. The towering Dickson went tumbling into the box and Nagor immediately pointed to the spot.

The Pahang players protested and Nagor, after consulting assistant referee Mohd Kamil Tumin, awarded a freekick at the top of the box instead.

The Kelantan players were incensed!

Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak confronted the match officials during the break but security officials were quick to prevent any untoward incident.

It was obvious that the final was not just a battle between two east coast sides, but also a clash between two foreign personalities – Nwakaeme and Stewart.

The pair had their own running battle throughout the match, with Jamaican Stewart doing a great job in frustrating the Nigerian.

Pahang, clearly hungrier for success, had the better of the first half as they went on the offensive. Flankers R. Gopinathan and R. Surendren were the catalyst as they provided the incisive cut upfront but forwards Azamuddin Akil and Argentine Conti failed to capitalise on the chances.

Surendren came the closest when his fierce shot rebounded off the post in the 28th minute.

Pahang had a glorious chance to open the scoring at the start the second-half but substitute Fauzi Roslan ballooned the ball off a goalmouth melee in the 47th minute.

But Conti sent the yellow-shirted fans into a frenzy when his glancing header off Azamuddin’s cross sailed into the back of the net in the 59th minute.

That was all it took for Pahang – and their fans – to start celebrating.

Yup, aku suka tengok wing Pahang (especially Gopi) bawak bola laju macam lipas kudung sampai Pok Nik terguling guling jatuh nak kejar tongue.gif Not Pok Nik's fault, though....padang pun masalah.

Gopi for HM aku rasa lebih sesuai daripada Kunanlan.

From Red Hanoi to Red Warriors

By Jason Dasey

In the space of a few hours, Steve Darby went from talking about football with me on Astro -- to signing the next two years of his life away as head coach of Kelantan in the Malaysian Super League.
Flying over from his base in Hanoi, Darby was a guest pundit on SuperSport HD over a recent BPL weekend.

The next day, Darby met with Kelantan FA CEO Kevin Ramalingan at a Mont Kiara coffee shop to agree to take over the Red Warriors, with Croatian Bojan Hodak departing after the Malaysia Cup final against Pahang.

The deal was brokered by ex-Sabah and Australia star Scott Ollerenshaw, who now deals as an agent for players and coaches across Asia.

They will be big shoes to fill as Hodak, who's now linked to other clubs, has done a stellar job. After winning the treble last season, more success at the Shah Alam Stadium will mean five major trophies in just two years.

Ramalingan had been tipped off that Darby would be visiting Malaysia over that recent weekend. With the ink barely dry on the contract, Darby flew back to Vietnam to be reunited with wife Van Anh and daughter Quinn Elsa -- and to start planning for the 2014 Super League season.

For the 58-year-old Englishman, it will be a much welcome return to a nation where he had two successful spells previously.

He was with Johor FA between 1998 and 2000, winning the Malaysia FA Cup. Among the highlights of his three years at Perak from 2005 to 2008: finishing second in the league in 2006-2007, making a Malaysia Cup final and taking them to the quarter-finals of the AFC Cup.

In between his two Malaysian assignments, he was the high-profile head coach of S-League glamour club, Home United.

Darby thrived in Singapore -- the League and Cup double in 2003 was followed by making the last four of the AFC Cup, a more than creditable achievement for a Southeast Asian team.

Without question, his success at regional level was one of the factors that attracted the powerbrokers from Kota Baru. And Darby has made no secret of his desire to stamp his mark on the Asia-wide competition.

How he would love to help Kelantan become the first Malaysian side to make the final of a regional tournament like the AFC Cup.

Sharing a vegetarian Indian meal with 'Darbs' during his recent Kuala Lumpur visit, it was fascinating to hear stories from his many travels, including his two-and-a-half years working in Thailand as an assistant to Peter Reid and then Bryan Robson.

Darby faces a tough challenge at Kelantan, with reports of some of the Golden Deers' top players leaving the club.

But this well-travelled football man certainly doesn't lack the experience to handle almost any situation. He also makes a point of trying to adapt and fit in wherever he goes.

Already he speaks Arabic, French, Thai, conversational Malay and a few phrases of Vietnamese. Now 'Darbs' will have to quickly add some Kelantanese to the list to keep the natives happy at the Sultan Muhammed IV Stadium.

Harap harimau malaya pon dapat ambil semangat darikemenangan pahang.

Walaupun kita underdog tapi kalau kita tunjuk kita lagi lapar dan disiplin, insyallah berjaya.

Of coz sokongan peminat juga penting. Jangan bagi peluang untuk pemain kita doubt themselve. Sokong saja tanpa berbelah bahagi macam peminat pahang buat. Kita tatau tetiba ada hujan rahmat boleh tolong kita.
