Got so cheap? My ex-company renovate time, is about 2k++ per piece, about 4ft width. Make sure get tempered glass.

actually come to think of it the one panel glass is about 1.8k tempered 10mm with 1100+ dorma hardware. this was few yrs back.

i must be thinking of something else when i said 2-3k.

That only the glass, the door mechanism is not cheap. Better ask someone to quote.

you need to specify dimensions for an estimation.

Glass partition not child friendly, my nephew knock his teeth off after banging onto one.

You already have rough estimate, it was said as RM8k + . If you want better than that call a Glass supplier/contractor.

If you need another estimate I will tell you its RM10K+.

IMHO You should seriously reconsider glass partition, it looks lovely in photo and concept, but in reality it can be a real head ache.

1) As pointed its very kid UN-friendly.

2) Its even adult unfriendly, can you imagine bumping into the glass corner of that wine room shown, definitely several stitches if not some broken bones.

3) It looks lovel when clean, but you have to wipe it down almost every day to keep it looking like that. Yes hotels have lovely glass partitions in their bath rooms but they also have maid to clean your room every day. next time your in such a hotel ask the maid what they thunk of glass partition, they will tell you its a massive pain in the back.

4) Glass partition have practically ZERO sound or temperature insulation properties. That pic of wine room with glass partition is ridiculous, wine room needs temp and humidity control, which in both cases glass is terrible material. If you uses as partition between your bathroom and bedroom all the heat from the hot shower will effect the temp of your bedroom.

Anyway thats just my 2c worth.

Cheers

Hmm points taken... Any other better methods to make partition other than hacking and cementing?

IMHO You should seriously reconsider glass partition, it looks lovely in photo and concept, but in reality it can be a real head ache.

1) As pointed its very kid UN-friendly.

- Any type of hard partition is kid unfriendly not jus glass. Good quality glass dun break easily n harder than brick wall partition.

2) Its even adult unfriendly, can you imagine bumping into the glass corner of that wine room shown, definitely several stitches if not some broken bones.

- that 'll very much depends on the installation method, such as any bumper used in the corner n edges.

- very much depends on the type or grade of glass chosen, good grade one easy to wipe clean, jus like good grade water closet won't easily hav stains on it.

- u 'll be surprised how excellent is the noise insulation of a high grade glass not to mention those specially meant for noise insulation.

- if ur budget allowed, I dun see any problem with a glass partition n doors, jus get the high grade one n a decent installer will jus do u fine.
