Can breed with the Charmander no problem (as long as either parent has Outrage).
This is actually something I learnt a few days ago, cuz I was wondering why my hatched Pokemon didn't have the egg move (cuz the parents need the move in the first place! )

Yeah. It's true that if you wanna go competitive, a perfect IV team is a necessity. But Gen VI revamped the breeding mechanic such that anyone with the know-how can breed a perfect IV team with the correct natures when doing so can be a real frustration in previous gens.

That being said, do not get discouraged if your friend or the person you're battling has a team of Pokemon with perfect IVs. You have to remember that even when they have Pokemon with good stats, a bad strategy in their part could cost them the match.

I'm not sure though, I just went and collect the reward from the professor (which is the Oval Charm) after I completed the Kalos Pokedex (Owned all Pokemon).

I learnt something awesome today when I fought a random 6v6 battle with a guy that uses legendaries:

Tyranitar with Assault Vest and in Sand Storm can tank Mega Mewtwo X's STAB Aura Sphere like a boss!
