guess what? the purple tint comes back out when the phone reaches 40degrees lolx... then 1-2 months (1 week for the guy i am quoting below) after lens replacement, the red purple tint problem returns again to quote

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...317507&page=338"Well sadly like so many before me, the same problem is coming back on the new phone which had a perfectly functioning sensor when I first got it after just 1 week. Wow...I can't believe it happened that quickly. It's definitely not as bad as the first one was towards the end before I replaced it but it will, of course, continue to progress to that same level again on this one now that it's started. I've upgraded it to 4.3 and I again see the pitiful "fix" kick in - the noise builds up and then it resets the exposure (mostly ISO) lower, which of course destroys the ability to see much of anything in the resulting low light picture.
Just as before, the issue is created and worsened by heat.
Some examples:
Phone down on table, temp. 40, red noise is back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 Right after the first picture, temp. 40, no light source, red noise
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 Let the phone cool down for a while. Phone down on table again, temp. 22, red noise gone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 Taken right after that in the same spot as before, temp. 22, no noise
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 After 10min use, temp. 30, light far behind me, red noise is back again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 I caught the above picture before the "fix" kicked in. BTW, that's how it SHOULD be performing (but without the red noise) in case there was any confusion, this is supposed to excel in low light...
Now here's the same picture but after the exposure is automatically (completely out of my control) reset
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1383634539 So this is crap. Oh, and yeah, that's right in case you caught it, there's a hot pixel on the sensor to add further insult."
