wa....I see the whole thread also camera tint issue.....

the 2nd camera on the leaked m8 is reported to correct/prevent tint isues on camera. By creating an opposing tint to balance the overall picture quality.

hmmm can anybody confirm that the gold htc one wont suffer from tint issues??I rmb one former asked but it n don't recall getting replies.

Damn... i have a gold version HTC One.. really wanted to unbox it and have a look with the phone.

haha if u can confirm no purple tint issue I fly come find n buy from u now LOL.

it's still in the sealed wrapping. the purple tint issue is happening on all HTC One? or only on the older generation? perhaps should have taken SGS4 when i took the plan. lol

supposingly the batch manufactured after October shouldn't suffer the tint issues.

any idea how to know when it was manufactured? with the serial number only can i check it somewhere? damn.. i dont see manufactured date on the box..

Just to confirm, so currently all HTC one have purple tint issue? If not I wanna get one le... I actually like the one alot， just that the purple tint issue holding me back

yeah, still purple tint issue. i still wait for kitkat update. if still not fix, i return it and hoping to get new one.

check you first 5 letter and numbers in your serial number.

it will tell you its manufacturing place and date..

since you said its made on 2014/01/09

your serial number should be ##419... >> (the ## is its factory code, like SH,HT,FA)

yeah i got it already yesterday... There is a HTC website which you can use the imei and serial number to verify the manufacturing date.

My friend unit is affected by purple tint too. He even had the camera module changed. He said it didnt came back immediately but confirmed the problem return after 2-3months. He wont changed another module and risk more scratches made during the procedure.
