QUOTE(milky @ Nov 1 2013, 10:31 PM) ducky zero is standard layout, means if u buy after market standard layout keycaps, u can change all of them.but almost all ducky keyboards are 108 keys....and most after market keycaps set are 104 keys...so u have to find 4 extra keycaps if u want to change all of them QUOTE(SoulRex @ Nov 1 2013, 10:33 PM) http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanic...de#post_6018011read this and feel the |

QUOTE(calkh @ Nov 1 2013, 10:40 PM) ABS/PBT/POM are all types of plastic used for keycaps. 1st page got brief definition of each. Super simple explanation is PBT/POM >>> ABS (although there are exceptions for some ABS suppliers) that used to be true until ikbc make the infamous "ugly fonts" vortex doubleshot pbt keycaps on f104! Pad-Printed, Laser-etch, Dye-Sub, Doubleshot are all methods to print the legends on the keycaps themselves. Generally, Double-shot > Dye-Sub > Laser > Pad-Print (but double-shot is only available on ABS IINM) Very good explanation available here: http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanic...de#post_6009683 |

QUOTE(calkh @ Nov 1 2013, 10:47 PM) u have to lurk here more QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 1 2013, 10:48 PM) Positive point score be very afraid QFR 1) QFR better OEM than TK (as stated by krymian before) 2) Standard layout 3) A lot of keycaps from Taobao for starter. Or even get used unit from a forumer TK 1) LED is a blessed for those who put LED above layout In the end, it's your money, your call. Get the one which satisfied you the most. Somehow I can't find worn out ABS keycaps for you to show how bad it can be especially for backlited keycaps. ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 1 2013, 10:54 PM) Those kastam boards guys no complain cause they modded Cherry stabilisers. i rmbr reading somewhere saying that the mod on the cherry pcb mount stabilizer will cause bottoming out to hit directly on the pcb...true or false? Kastam boards always use pcb mounted stabiliser instead of plate mounted, which may also a factor contribute to the different from normal plate mounted boards. |

QUOTE(SoulRex @ Nov 1 2013, 10:56 PM) ayam no sure, but ever since i noticed my ducky keycaps starts to shine, i've been very careful with it and now i've taken them out and store them in a ziplock bag...they should stay there.btw, the picture i linked, i believe its rubber finished surface. so it's understandable that they provide excellent grip for your fingers...at first...and like all rubber...u rub rub rub...of with it! i'm not sure tk's keycaps's finishing material used. but i know ducky's isn't rubber finish. QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 1 2013, 11:13 PM) I don't know. As a gamer and I use PC from 5 hour on weekdays and 8-9 hour on weekend, my stock Ducky Shine already shining at WASD, spacebar, right shift, right control. And that less than 6 month. Sold the keyboard because blue LED hurt my eyes. I hope the buyer change the keycaps. You get standard layout for starting, you already doesn't need to think to get a standard layout keyboard again. Let's say you get TK and then suddenly have the mood to change keycaps, you will regret and selling can be quite hard. Unless you don't have plan to change keycaps, I don't see any reason you will get QFR. true keyboard warrior, no keyboard but bertungkus lumus buy up to 3 keycaps set True story, I said won't change keycaps and said it's crazy to own more than one set of keycaps. Ended up I own 3 sets of keycaps and no keyboard since I keep on changing keyboard due to unsatisfied. Until today, I use Logitech K200 and I regret I spend more for the keyboard that I should get in the first place as advised. |

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 1 2013, 11:17 PM) Non backlited like Filco somehow feel more durable than Ducky. Is it Filco only or all non backlited ABS better than backlited ABS? hmm? durable in terms of?in my case, i've tried filco majestouch 2 and my ducky shine 2. filco was a year older, and i prefer my ducky's type feel, probably newer and spring not so worn out yet? both also blue switch. if u r talking about the sturdiness of the case n built, to be honest, i can't tell the difference...either there's no difference or the difference is negligible. |
