this is a plugin to save image to .ico format for photoshop I download long time ago.

err what problem,
another method i know is use GIMP do your icon there then save as .ico with alpha |

you mean your friend embed the icon into the program he create (vb, c++, or any other programming) and lost the gradient?
if it is like that, that is not the icon problem, is the compiler/sdk itself didnt support high color icon. |
