hi guys,

i had create some icon for window application.i wan something like help.ico,but how come i already save my file to .ico..the background still cant be transparent?
can anyone teach me how to make the background transparent?

You can do it straight in IconWorkshop.

Load your icon and replace the white bg with transparencies

having some problem with the icon again...how come when i place the icon in window...everything is nice.but when my friend place the icon to the software he created, the gradient of the icon gone...y?can anyone tell me

i had attach the image.win = when the icon display in window.net = is the icon display on the software which created by .net

anyway,jayhan the software u recommend when covert...there will be white background behind the icon...how to erase that?

this is a plugin to save image to .ico format for photoshop I download long time ago.

hope this help.

now we have test out in different OS..we had test in window2000 and winXP.win2000 look fine,but winXP got some problem....y y y?? do we need to have some specific format for winXP??

err what problem,

another method i know is use GIMP
do your icon there then save as .ico with alpha

when i display this icon in win2000 and .net 02 it is nicely display...but when i display in winXP.the gradient effect is gone.pls take a look on the attachement.

the file named net is display in winXP

anyway,mclelun the plugin u gave me it works fine in win2k

how big is the icon? 16x16?

maybe is the color setting problem...

you mean your friend embed the icon into the program he create (vb, c++, or any other programming) and lost the gradient?

if it is like that, that is not the icon problem, is the compiler/sdk itself didnt support high color icon.
