i know maybe this topic will b little bit out, but still it is technical support rite?

my spec
i7 4770k
msi z87-g41
xigmatek tauro 700w
CM seidon 120v

the rig keep crashing if i overclock it more than 4.2ghz
can someone teach me the correct method to overclock with this cheap mobo?
have someone tried overclock with this specs?
want to push up to 4.5ghz if possible.

is there 3rd party software that can be used in windows?

1st start with using stock volt... find   max   multiplier you can get  like 44 mybe

then pump  little bit  jus volt  .. check.. it can runing smooth . @ fail...  if fail pump more volt.

ingore about ram 1st  .. focus on cpu 1st...
*
currently running at 4.4ghz on 1.299v voltage

do u have the steps? i wan learn too
*
just jump to bios
click on OC tab
adjust the multiplier to 43
ring ratio 35
then adjust the VCCIN to 1.9v
cpu voltage to 1.25v
make it adaptive
DRAM to 1.65v (not sure this is neccessary)

that was my setup on msi-z87 g41 with seidon 120v

Ya mine is a micro atx mobo
*
try google it urself, done for myself and even contacted msi support team (cant help u much since dffent setup)
even it use g43 chipset, doesnt mean it has that xtra features.
like for the socket 1150, z87m-g43 and z87-g43, even using same chipset but the cpu voltage supported is diffrent.
