Yes, I do not have Degree and just Professional Cert.
So far MoM do not recognize professional cert so I have to get WP since no more quota for SP.
Now my concern is whether we need to declare tax with the said amount.

Yes, with 4k salary, annual is 48k; you must pay tax; regardless what pass you are in.

Nowadays company might have e-filing, so you just need to go IRAS website to declare relief and other income source if any.

A pretty sad reality which I absolutely agree with. And the quoted $48K a year to retire "comfortably" is actually quite optimistic. Half of that already goes to conservancy charges or maintenance fees and groceries. The rest for takeout/restaurants, cable tv/bb, very basic entertainment, medication/supplements and public transport. Add another $2K a month if you want to drive, which you will when you're old and creaky.

That's why lots of Singapore grandpa which is still single will migrate or half migrate to China to look for their life accompaniment when old age. Only come back Singapore once in 2 months to collect their HDB rental if they own any. With the rental, spent like a boss in China.

If want to check current traffic condition, you can go to www.onemotoring.com.sg

From there, you can decide which checkpoint better traffic.

Hi all, a silly question here. Say I bought an electrical good from Johor and intends to bring it back to Singapore. Do I have to declare the item and pay GST?
*
You can request the shop to issue you a under value receipt. Quite a number of electrical shop in JB do this. I purchase 5x KDK fan from JB also.
