in your own post you already said own room is '500-700,' if whole unit assuming 2 bedrooms mana mungkin only 1k?

HI everyone. Page the 1st page it says we can be in singapore 60 out of every 90 days. So if i entered singapore on  1/1, i could stay 60 days from 1/1-31/3, then it "renews" on 1/4, right?

Now that we have established that IPA can be used to open an account and for accommodation purposes, I have another question. 

1) Say I want to collect my EP using my IPA and other documents but I haven't yet found a place to stay in SG. Will MOM refuse to issue me the EP until an accommodation is found?

2) In addition, say again I do not have a physical address in SG but I want to open a bank account first. Will the bank allow for that and use my Malaysian address or will they just refuse to open an account for me until I obtain a place to stay in SG?

Good choice to raise the kids here for safety and education. But you need to sacrifice not seeing them often next time. Your kids won't want to go back Malaysia with you one. I am one of the kids half raised in SG, degree onwards but spent most my secondary school holidays here. Already felt so unfamiliar with MY after I graduate 4 years later. Your SG fully raised kids... MY only a holiday place to them when you bring them back during school holidays. My sis who study JC here hate this place though.

No free lunch one SG gahmen, you want rip the housing subsidy and baby bonus, they ripper you back later. If son he need to do 2 years NS and 10 years reservist. If financially affordable, give him the choice to decide later when he grow up. But if you really need the citizen subsidies then by all means.

- yes that's correct. Her net salary is then 120% in the current local currency equivalent (notwithstanding any future Renminbi dollar weakness!), but on a side note, i believe her pay will then be pretty much higher than a locally hired person,- so we're thinking not to push this further.

If I had my fingerprinting and registration done on Tuesday, when can I collect the EP?

Does after 4 working days mean the Monday or Tuesday of the following week?  Or is Saturday a working day in Singapore as well?

I am leaving Singapore immediately after I had my registration done so any replies would be most insightful in helping me plan my next steps. 

u need to take an exam in sg,they will issue u a letter,then u proceed to jpj for the cancellation of malaysia license.Once done,proceed back to sg and process for the sg license..
most probably gv jpj some ''duit kopi'' to ask them dont cancel ur malaysia license

I just received my driving license.

You can first go book basic theory test from the driving center (usually waiting time abt 3-4 months). Then go JPJ to get your extract (extract cannot be more than 6 months when you apply for conversion). At JPJ you need to fill up form and state reason why you want the extract. If you state that you want to convert to Sg license, they will punch a hole in your Msia license making it invalid.
After you pass you BTT,  you can apply for Sg license conversion.

hi guys, wanna ask some sifu here about how to find job/interview in singapore from malaysia.

1. do u guys applied online jobstreet/jobdb.etc and travel to singapore for interview?? where do u guys stay then? travel by bus or plane?

2. or just go to singapore 1st, then start looking for job on newspaper and online? what if u cant get a job in 30days, u cant stay longer than that right? and again where do u guys stay then?

3. as a IT fresh grad and finishing my last subject very soon, any suggestions whether i should get experience in msia or try my luck to apply junior/'fresh grad'/'no experience needed' job in singapore? i believe i do have some advantages compared to any other IT fresh grad since i've done some projects during my fyp and internship. P/S* my convocation is held in 2 months later, i was thinking to work in msia for at least 2 months, and after my convocation i will start planning again. any thoughts?

Singapore has charged 22 Indian National, including a woman, with providing false salary information to obtain their work permits, the manpower ministry said on Wednesday.

The 10 people from a group of 22 Indian nationals faces up to seven weeks in jail after they pleaded guilty on Tuesday. They would also be permanently banned from working in the city state.

For the remaining 12, one would go for pre-trial on February 28 while 11 others have sought an adjournment for their cases.

The group of 21 males and 1 woman, aged between 24 and 39, had made false statements to the Controller of Work Passes between November 2010 and September 2013 in connection with the applications for 19 Employment Passes (EPs) and three S Passes (SPs). They were employed by four separate companies.

The Ministry stressed that applicants for EPs or SPs must meet the minimum salary requirement. However, the accused persons knew that their employers would pay them less than the amounts declared, it said.

The Ministry said it would separately take action against the employers and the employment agents involved.

Offenders face fine up to 20,000 Singapore dollars and/or imprisoned up to two years for having made false declaration under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
