Where on earth you heard this la? Does MOM even publish any wage ranges? hmm.gif

Of course HR can set their own reasons, excuses and policies as to why they want to pay you low. The onus is on you to understand what your market range is and not to accept a below par offer.

I didn't hear this from anywhere, just guessed that it would be like that since MOM does publish wage range according to occupation and level skill (I've seen it before..in pdf file wan)

You got it the wrong way round. That one is not MOM set range then companies pay. That is companies pay according to market forces then MOM compile and publish.

If you're right then my company should be paying according to the current market rate that has been complied and published by MOM. So, am I not right to say that the HR should pay according to the wage range published by MOM, which was based on the average wage range of companies, assuming they are statistically significant ? tongue.gif

Oh they don't? I was thinking of signing up with a postpaid data plan, the one that comes together with smartphone. I need it so that I have an approved residential address statement to show to the bank as I'm planning to open one. Not too sure how it works but banks here want me to show my phone bill as prove of my residential address.

I know this has been discussed somewhere before in this thread but I need a quick answer so sorry for the redundancy. I've just been issued a working pass to work in my current company. However, another company called me up for an interview. I want to go for that interview because that is the company I really wanted to join (not the current one) but if I tell them in the interview that I'm currently working or having a work pass, do you think they will reject me straightaway?

Hey all, looking for some advice. I've just started working a few months in my company but one of my clients casually asked me to consider "jump ship" to his company. Firstly, I don't know what the offer is like but I assume that it should be a better one, otherwise how can you attract people to jump over to your ship, right? Secondly, I don't know why of all people he ask me..maybe I'm still young and fresh so easier to train? Thirdly, I'm not very sure if this is an ethical thing to do and it worries me that their work ethics are as such. He was very persuasive and kept promoting how good is company is...I'm afraid there might be something fishy going on that I don't know about..
