QUOTE(crusher @ Dec 16 2013, 02:35 PM) not worth for the upgrade bro. I have alot cards (wise, uob, mbb, watami, and alliance otw), those cash back with cap are fully utilised. If OCBC willing to waive off the next AF then its good to go, at least enjoy my first 'World' card now i'm in the midst of thinking should I get WISE card combo with GSC / MBB card / Watami, definitely will keep this ocbc ti card. |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Dec 23 2013, 02:41 PM) Bro, if u have so many other Cards, will your Cash Rebate of 1.0% be enough to cover the Service Tax. You need to swipe at least RM5K a year to breakeven. ya, thats the main concern on the GST, will try to call CS during GST month.. if i dont spend the balance amount on OCBC, I will only spend on MBB ordinary card, which earn me only TPs.A rough calculation showed me, if I spend over 700 per month, I shall use OCBC instead of ordinary TP cards. today received a call from OCBC, persuade me to upgrade Titanium to World. Confirmed GST waiver (rebate in same month RM50 automatically), free first year AF, then during next anniversary month, asked me to call up again before AF being charge, she said my spending pattern 100% get AF waived, I asked her the basic criteria but she not willing, or unable to tell.
at the end, I upgraded, since she so kind n sweet, haha |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Jan 20 2014, 03:23 PM) what exactly is your spendign pattern, if u do not mind disclosing. No need exact sum, just the bracket. previous years was fixed at 1k nett / month for 5%. Have u called the CS out for lunch / drinks. Go for it, maybe it will work out. You can ask some of the Sifu here to apply through for upgrade your new GF. Score you brownie points. last month spent more after revised to 1% unlimited. I wont bother to date her la, just making fun of her |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 20 2014, 03:43 PM) you spent more after ocbc revised to 1%? she only call me today you are showing ocbc that they have made the right decision... i hope the reason you spent more was bcs of the her again... not the unlimited 1%... 1% CB is better than ordinary TP card. So they actually helped me |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Jan 20 2014, 04:36 PM) Same here. Since the 1% was announced and I got my so-called replacement CC, my spending with OCBC from > RM1K a month has dropped to ZERO save for the autodebit for utilities that I have no time to personally visit to change. i have too many CC on hand, til I overlook and forgot to pay my UOB There is no perfect CC for everyone. But to herc, you should visit Gen-X blog for this comprehensive write-up on various CC in MY. basically I have all the so-called good cards |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 20 2014, 04:36 PM) yes, of course. actually i'm still keeping my ocbc titanium until... maybe before next gst kicks in. i have 3x mbb2amex, 3x ocbc (cancelled 2) and 3x HLB wise last time i asked my wife to sign up this cc because want to earn rm50 x2 cash back monthly. but now since it's 1% unlimited, so just keep mine would be sufficient (no need two ocbc already). so i asked her to sign up hlb wise this time. |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Jan 20 2014, 04:42 PM) Good for you Bro that you are making $$$ from the CC. You can call UOB to waive any interest / penalty if you have been paying on time and in full, even if u missed payment for a-month. Happened to me before also. Only reallised when next month statement arrived. ya, have to do so when the penalty shows up. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 20 2014, 04:48 PM) you should create a spreadsheet to contain all your monthly cc's usage. i have a spreadsheet, cash back stuff all well monitored, just the UOB, statement arrive during x'mas week and were busy partying hahaotherwise will forgotten whether your cash back already max, and/or forgotten to pay one of your cc. i have 7 cc but so far not forgotten... although already old... QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 20 2014, 04:53 PM) oh ya, forgotten that you have just targeted the ocbc cs in earlier post (i'm old)... i just borrow their headcount, all the benefit come back to me but i wonder whether all your gf's cash back will pass to you? and if they were under your supplementary cc, you can't get x3 of the cash back... p/s: sum up all the CC CB is enough to cover my housing loan This post has been edited by herc: Jan 20 2014, 05:00 PM |
