no hurt to keep the cc until next annual year come. cos it might have  other campaign or promotion.
or u can still use this cc if u have hit the cap at other cc.
*
bad things is i could not hold 3 CC as my income is less than 36k. have to cancel 1 so that i could apply another replacement card.

QUOTE(crusher @ Nov 13 2013, 02:01 PM)
so at the end of the bill have more than RM50 rebate then. Am I right?  biggrin.gif
*
according to the CS, is yes. if you worry, just stop when you reach rm50. next cycle only enjoy the unlimited.

QUOTE(lamode @ Nov 13 2013, 04:06 PM)
people, i just spoke with OCBC CS.

the RM50 rebate per month is pro-rated, so it's unlikely to max out with only 5% rebate catergories unless ur statement date is on 29th.

for example, the statement date is 14th (half a mth to 29th), the max rebate can get from 5% is only RM25. For the rest, you need to spend 2.5k to get 1% rebate after that day.
*
really? different speaking with the CS who tell me last week. she said can get max rm50 if swipe before that.
but thinking of bank side, it could be possible also. like this i dunno how to calculate my available 5% cap for my cycle of 19th - 29th Nov

QUOTE(lamode @ Nov 13 2013, 04:21 PM)
good news is the RM50 usage bonus for 10k spending to offset GST is still there.
*
CS call me today as i emailed them about this matter, she answered the same, annual usage bonus is not revised, only revised on rebate rate.

QUOTE(crusher @ Nov 13 2013, 08:19 PM)
now the best card to compete with this card would be Maybank card and HLB Wise card?
*
aeon watami also not bad if you spend 3k-5k in a quater and dun want to care the 10x rm50 on wise

from the new site, it seems like not mention for the GST waiver

so it will take to spend rm5000 to get offset GST from the 1%

gotta cut this card!!!

btw, from the TnC

(b) The rebate is calculated on the Total Retail Spending for the month and is
non-cumulative from previous month

does this mean the rebate is count by calander month, but the rebate is transact on statement date?

Just wanted to share with you the face of the guy who signed off on the recent Love Letter that we received from OCBC

http://www.ocbc.com.my/assets/pdf/Media/20.../OCBC_Cards.pdf

http://www.theborneopost.com/2013/12/05/oc...s-on-all-items/

Its funny, he says that he wants OCBC to be the favourite 'Number 2' card for every MY.

Why No. 2 and not number 1.  The OCBC Titanium was my Number 1 card and I have charged all my expenses (save for Petrol).

Now, I am not going to charge anything save for one off annual items. That also, I am rethinking as even Alliance with the combined Cash Back and Reward Points gives higher effective returns of 1%.

If I keep the Titanium, my net returns from the Card is probably going to be less than RM50 per year (after GST).

no different with hong leong essential. how can this be 2nd card?

which simply means hong leong essential is the first card?  shakehead.gif
*
my thought is: sad.gif
since same with hong leong essential, and even essential is not consider any 2nd card.
so how can this ocbc tit become 2nd card?

QUOTE(tifosi @ Dec 18 2013, 06:09 PM)
I didn't get the SMS. Not a valued customer I guess.
*
does this mean only the people getting the sms might can get 5% rebate if paid bill via ocbc online in this whole december? but now already mid of december

What is the different between Hong Leong Essential Credit Card and Ocbc Titanium Credit Card beside 1% unlimited cashback? which one better?

i still like the idea of unlimited cashback as i dont have to always keep trap on number after i max out on MBB 2 cards
*
from what i know, is similiar. after the comparison, ocbc tit is slightly better for free annual fee and 1% include petrol

ocbc tit vs essential
AF = free for life vs 12x swipe waive or 8k spends a year
GST = same, no absorb
cashback = all retail include petrol vs all retail exclude petrol

maybe cash advance and financial charges different too. i did not compare this part it as i was instructed for not to do so biggrin.gif

mine is 384kbps combo with phone line, just for my mum to check emails and occasional browsing
btw, can sign up for TM auto debit to get the RM2 rebates and then pay using M2Amex (don't pay full amount of the TM bill) before statement date to get extra M2Amex discount
*
I dunno, but this might can be a reference:
For digi,
I was doing auto debit from my cimb debit card to enjoy rm5 monthly rebate. But my saving account on that debit card is kosong (only the minimum balance). So it cannot charge any to my debit card. Then i pay the outstanding weekend when bill come.

I am enjoying the rebate for about 7 months now

the RM5 rebate is from cimb, right? that offer valid for 12 months smile.gif

from digi, only first 6 months get rm5 rebate.

but nice trick too, nonetheless.  thumbup.gif

the offer seems changed little compare to the time when i opt for the auto billing.
i don't have the RM10 + RM5 cash back for first bill.

but for my 12 month rebate is rebate on digi bill, not cimb site smile.gif
