Guys

I just bought a hard back case, Quicksand from Metal Slim. Used it before with S4. The grip is really good just like sandpaper. Case is real slim, in fact much slimmer than Baseus hard back case.

The Spigen Bounce

[attachmentid=3693955]

It's a tougher TPU than the Remax Pudding, and the usb port cutout is sufficient to plug a wide usb 2 cable without shaving off the sides. I had to shave about 2mm off the Remax case' usb cutout.

What I like is that it's nice and flat at the back, and the camera becomes recessed by about 1mm into the case.

It also has a 1.5mm lip all around the bezel and screen, so I guess this case will afford some plausible all round protection without being too bulky.

I stuck velcro onto the case because I have several velcro locations where I stick my devices tongue.gif

I just realized that the file formats for the S Note is different for Note 3 which uses .spd, while Note 1 uses .snb. Not sure about Note 2, anybody?

Thinking about it, it might be better to use note taking apps from the Playstore rather than depending on Samsung's app. Unless the Playstore apps can read Samsung's file format.

i copy paste my notes from note 2 to note 3, it auto converts to note 3 format. not sure what format it is in note 2, but definitely different from note 3's. unless u r leaving  the note family, i think its not a problem smile.gif

Well TS posted a comparison between One Max and Note 3, the thing is, I'm tempted by the front facing speaker and bigger screen. Blame it on TS tongue.gif

Not leaving the note family as yet but....who knows someday ....hehe

Off topic : Galaxy ROUND the curved display phone is now on sale here for just a mere RM 3400 !! - any takers ?

The device features a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED 1080p (1080×1920 pixels 386ppi) display that’s similar to the Galaxy Note 3 except for the fact that its pronouncedly curved. In terms of specs, the Galaxy Round packs a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM and a 2,800mAh battery. There’s a 13MP camera at the back that can shoot both 1080p and 4K videos, and a 2MP front camera with 1080p video capabilities.

for that kind of price, I'd rather take the Dual Sim Note 3 even if it's AP set

Anyway, I wanted to share something.

I bought my mom and dad a new phone that requires micro-sim and enable LTE. So I went to Celcom Bluecube Sunway. I brought along boths my parents to change the sim card. What I didn't know was both my parents line is under my sister's name, both were supplementary lines.

After getting our number and called to the counter, they told me that they will need my sister's IC and approval letter from my sister to upgrade the sim card and would not let us proceed. Even though my sister is available, but of course she can't do it immediately. After much fuss, they gave us the new micro sim cards and told us that after receiving the IC and letter/email only will they activate the new simcard. We went off at around 7pm and the cards were activated the same night at 11.30pm.

I think supplementary lines are made to ease our kids/parents life, it's not like I'm trying to change the quota or plan or any significant upgrade. It's just a simple process of changing sim cards. I can't imagine if my parents is on a wheelchair or bed ridden. The process is so troublesome and looking at my parents numbers, they should be very well informed that both these customers has been with them since TM Touch.

The only reason I'm not poisoning them to change to Maxis is because at my parents house there is only Celcom coverage.

No argument on this part, applicable to all telcos. Yes, main line needs to be present. I'm not sure if authorization letter is still accepted these days.

QUOTE(Xirality @ Oct 31 2013, 10:03 AM)
Yes the people who register the line must present on scene. Same goes to my gf which is her dad register for her.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 31 2013, 10:06 AM)
Main line under your sister name, your sister must present itself. Applicable to all telco and this is the suppose way.

I guess I won't be registering any supplementary lines with any telcos ATM until they improve or configure a way as to make it more customer friendly no matter how tempting the plan is...

They have been charging for petty things and yet don't cut customers any slack. doh.gif

Hey guys. I have a problem here.

I left my phone charging for an overnight charge from 1am last night, when I woke up this morning I've received an error saying 'SD Card Removed'.

I then took out the SD Card and reinserted it and restarted my phone, still no SD Card found.

I've tried inserting the SD Card into my Tab 7 plus and even my laptop via adapter, still no SD Card found.

The question is, is my N3 killed the SD Card or the overnight charging did it ?

Or was it just a SD Card failure?

The SD Card in question is a 1 year old 32GB Kingston (I forgot the class, certainly NOT Class10. Bought from Challenger).

I never once thought the SD Card would fail. I have everything from pictures dated from 2011 and many aircraft manuals which are hard to find and all of them with no back up !

Tough luck I guess. Sigh.

Sorry but I think you lost the data.

What you can do is try inserting the card into a PC or any other phone and see whether the data can be read.

I lost mine last time when using 8gb mem card. Didm't recover anything. Luckily I always had it backed up to my pc.
