I bought it together with HD 212 pro and KSC 75..ahah..I think i use the other 2 more, but HD 201 is still a good pair. I think the sound quality is really commendable, compared to HD 212 pro..But I like the closed can because I travel a lot, but overall, if I were to sit at home, I would still go for HD 201..That's, of course, if I don't have my HD 555 around

Is HD 580 similar to HD 600?

HD 555 owner here! hahaah..Current price is around 600 maybe? 595 might be around 900 i think..580 is better i think, cuz supposedly same driver as 600..555 and 595 same driver i heard..

Anyone heard of xhead headphone amp? WIll it be good with my 555? Any1 tried any mods on 555 ar?

Upgrade to 555 somehow seems like a bad idea to most people, I don't know why though..They all say the 400+ is worth the dough..haha..

But HD 600 and 650 are so much harder to drive though..And for a bit less, do you think it's best to settle for hd580 recabled and replaced with hd 600 grills?

Ugh..I heard K701 has a very neutral sound sig...I don't like that hahaha..Too neutral makes it kinda boring for me..

I prefer some BOom here, some high treble..other words: Coloration.hahah..Which makes me wonder, does HD 600/650 color the sound? Or is it plain neutral as well?

actually the cryo makes the cables more durable and less susptice to oxidation....
i tried both cryo and non cryo the sound somehow is more to yur face but smoother and very fast....

I like KSC 75's sound signature..Sounds warm, and nice...I don't know how to really describe though..
Maybe I'll opt for HD 650 recabled..
