QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ Jun 12 2006, 01:10 AM) argh.. HD650 is not universal music headphone ah?! i tot the king can conquer everything. I test up i think all my heaphones is different level. Compare to my HD485 and AT-M30 is the HD485 More heavy & strong bass. meanwhile my AT-M30 is more to Monitoring but is lose up at bass level. HD485 so far i think are my best one lo. I been compare also my philips SHP 895 the bass still lose to HD485. (All Headphones tested with Mini-Eph and Behringer 800AMP Series).Btw, i saw mediaplex buck up at Rm2200.. davis really got a great deal here. akabane, Does HD485 interesting than the AT u got currently? Or both is completely different sound signature?! QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 12 2006, 01:12 AM) Universal in an Audiophile sense. oh... But not so universal in the empire23 sense where i like to throw in the occasional Animu faggish OST tune, or a radio pop tune just to lighten the mood and bop to the beat. No.. not all improvements come from amp. The right source is more of an improvement than a headamp. R u sure is no improvement? |

QUOTE(KilJim @ Jun 12 2006, 11:53 AM) He's not saying there are no improvements with an amp ic, sounds more clear now. thanks man. He's saying that an improvement can come from the source too HD565 & 595 user here Oh yeah, the 555 might be a beter choice than the HP1000 if you're not planning to get an amp |

QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 12 2006, 05:35 PM) Well in my opinion, Audio setups are vaguely like PC ones as well, ever play a game after installing a new graphics card and saying "shitcock, it's still slow!", well, might be the CPU being the bottleneck i guess. i agreed that... Just my 2 cents, because that's one theory that hasn't been proven yet. |

QUOTE(empire23 @ Jun 12 2006, 06:18 PM) I only have 1 problem with that, not the cash right now, but the comfort, i have this problem where my ears are pretty sensitive to presure and plus i have problem with intense flaking of my inner ear skin, and with those pads pressing againts my ear.... well, i don't mind if they came out with RS-1 with Sennheiser earpads in a circuaural config. Well, let's just say i'd kill for a GS-1000 but not an RS-1. i see, u got a problem with ur skin... |

QUOTE(ijan @ Jun 12 2006, 08:09 PM) renovatio..u really havent heard a good amp yet, thats why u said its a plus than a neccessity..a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, but i guess ur gonna flame me back on this statement. fren, i think he should try more type of amp to decide the statement. |

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Jun 15 2006, 09:01 PM) the difference is quite obvious but only in the sense that the hd600 is even more grainy than the 650 and the bass doesnt boom as much as the 650 yet maintaining the very bottom end. both are very veil imho So still left two headphones lar?the sennheiser veil is not obvious unless u tried many other different phones. the grados will show the senn veil right away, at the time I compared the PX100 to the SR60 some time ago, I was already sold by the fact that the px100 is veil like hell. After I got the MS2i..the contradiction is even more significant. I didn't like either, so they both had to go. it was the K701 that replaced my 650, the RS-1 was simply a second child. |
