I use the Little Dot 3 (initial batch) with my HD555.  Music flows beautifully, as attested by all my friends that have listened to the combination.  No fatigue at all, have listened to this combo for a 6 hour stretch on a few occasion without realising it while doing some late night soldering!

A question here. I owned a HD497 from buddy bulk the last time.

Now the whole rubber skin is torn off from the ear cushion. Is it possible to change it? Or just leaving it as it is is better?

Notice it was peeling off when it got stuck with my table... Guess malaysia's heat is too much for the material

yeah, i was kinda pissed off when i visited mediaplex last time.. the sales there was very bz entertaining some1 that seemed kinda interested to get a wireless AKG headphone. not sure about the model though, but.. hell, u know wat i mean right? maybe the customer got the wrong info from the salesperson..

anyway, the supervisor there was very friendly, he lead me to the home theathe section, asked me to get a seat, gave me a whole bunch of catalogue of sennheiser.. kinda good service.. but finally i didn get anything out from there, the price is.. way to high..
