so far i am very satisfy with the hp.. love the sound although it is still in burn in process.. however, my ears do feel fatigue quite fast, about half an hour of listening.. i dunno y.. mayb my ears cant stand in closed place without sufficient air supply.. haha..

i took half an hour to digest ur post, do a little maths and ohm''s law, still got a little blurry.. nvm.. it takes time to digest..

i am planning to get LD2+, and the worst thing is i am not very good with the specs:

i dont see any statement that shows high or low current, mayb u can teach me how to do the maths a little there.. ( i dunno how i calculate, but looks like i got 31mA running for 50ohm, correct me pls.. )

will it be a wise choice then?

hi there.. i'm using hd555, well the main problem i'm facing is the comfort issue.. it's due to the sponge is too thin.. can i replace it with other sponge?

i heard that senn does provides replacement sponge for some models, which 1 will suits hd555 in term of size with more comfort? any recommendation?

There's so many K701 users here and you can consult them how's the soundstage.
I wont use this to promote my K701 sales la, obviously this one is not one of the most profitable ones, I put it up as the first phone for sale for the 'wah' effect. If I want to earn I would just comparing and bullsh1ting with the most profitable phone.

I once tempted to get 325i or MS2i as an upgrade from my SR80. But when comes to deeper thinking, i'm basically upgrading from the same thing. Yeah, 325i is better in terms of everything, but the house sound remains the same. Lack of soundstage, bright, next-to-your-ears. Perhaps i'll get to hear more details and more refined music. But that just doesn't justify the price. RM400 for a SR80, RM1000 for a 325i, RM1300 for a MS2i?

Higher we upgrade, the price/satisfaction ratio drops. I swear the K701 will be my last headphone upgrade next i'll continue building my collection of audiophile CDs. 3.2k for a GS1k, or 3.2k for few hundred CDs? I'll go for the later

but then, the lack of soundstage that gives Grado its special sound signature. Forward, bright, close to your ears. One of a kind man!

guys...just thought id share sumthing... a cheap way of improving/upgrading ur HD595s

i made 2 impedance adapters... 220 ohm and 100 ohm. and got my colleague to test it out on his rig which would be :
PC -> Philips PSC805 USB Soundcard -> Cardas HPI mini-mini -> GoVibe 5 (with Elpac 24V PSU) -> HD595

specs of the adapters
220ohm - taiwan made stereo mini/ canare L-4E6S/ 220ohm resistors/ some japan made mini female jack.

100ohm - neurtik/ REAN plugs (the low end ones)/ canare L-4E6S/ 100ohm resistors/ some japan made mini female jack.

so i handed it over to him and when he tested the 220ohms (total 270ohms) he was so happy that his cans finally had bass LOL. and couldnt stop saying "my cans finally have boom boom!!". even i was shocked (ive always disliked the 595 for the lack of bass). but he did say the mids and highs were a little recessed now. most likely caused by the lack of volume i guess.

i just gave him another adapter for 100ohms (total 150ohms) a few hours ago to test and he said it sounds even better as its more balanced than the 220ohms. the word "wow" actually came out of his mouth. and he still raving about how good his cans sounds

the adapters on my 250ohm DT990 made almost no difference honestly. only prominent difference would be the volume level. ive yet to try the adapters on my Philips HP250 (32ohms i think) to test it out.

as for pix... i aint gonna post them up as theyre too ugly they just dont do my previous DIY cable works any justice hehehe.

Ety owners would come running saying "They have plenty of bass, u just didnt know how to insert them properly" 

HD580/600 (if they sound similar) would be too laid back to be sounding like the 716
