its a bit hard to do on figures la, since water droplets turn out to be so big on them.
*
The spray u use when u iron clothes, i used that one, & dun spray too much or the droplets will accumulate & become big. I only spray (3 presses) when 1 second left off my camera's timer.

Any impact on our hobby if government implement GST?

What i can think of is that..

1. Less budget for hobby
2. Buying overseas cheaper compare to local stores (which already are for most cases)
*
Not much; GST is not equal to increasing tax by 6%; It only replaces current tax system. Current tax system, some items are being taxed twice, like sometimes when u import things, u get 10% tax on the item's value + 5% off shipping value. That is no longer the case in Apr 2015; only 1 single tax of 6%, as far as what i understand.

Another example: you go restaurant/hotel, then u get taxed 10% service charge + 6% gov tax. That is also no longer allowed. Only a single 6% tax. That means, you should expect to pay less for some items, but pay more for the others. For example, books and IT stuff are exempted from tax. They will remain exempted from tax, but, when sold from a shop, say, popular, they have to charge you a 6% tax, which means you still get taxed 6%. After all it's goods and services tax - well, unless u buy online overseas yourself and import it. Popular will need to pay this money (tax) to gov as a source of revenue, it does not go into their profits.

The issue now with Malaysian traders. they are unwilling to charge customers less. So, for those in the services department who can charge 10% in the past but now no longer allowed, they might increase their pricing to offset the amount they can no longer tax you. Although this GST is supposed to be more systematic, i would say, it's not fair to poorer people (there are chances that books and essential items getting taxed 6%), but good news for me. Some things that are taxed twice including figures are now only taxed once.

6% is not much, but if you are planning to buy, say, a RM 18,000 Nikon D4, +6% = increase RM 1000. But im actually bothered by the fact IT & smartphones *might* end up getting taxed; im not sure myself, what i said is only from what i understand so far. Details for me are still scarce. Im quite a tech geek, and i will need HDDs a lot. Expanding to 10TB soon, thx to anime.

For me I just worried that they will tahan every shipment once the GST is enforced. I actually don't mind paying the GST, but if later kastam need to open your parcel b4 they can tax you (with or without your presence), then it might be problematic for those who are getting ecchi/hentai figures whistling.gif
*
Knowing the kastam, they are not so hardworking or that free either - thousands of packages come in daily and i think they will just tax according to value; they cant possibly open every single parcel except the suspicious ones. Figures were taxed 10% right? Now it's only 6%. As for only items of value above RM 500 getting taxed, im not sure whether that still applies. If that is no longer the case (and everything gets taxed), then it's more worthy to combine lots of shipments into one. If just buy 1 or 2 figure, and total less than RM 500, not worth it IMO.

Thanks for the sharing. So far i get the news from malaysia kini, lobster got no GST, but medicine and fruit get GST.
not so sure this is correct or not.

if Figure is out of GST, then pretty good news for us collectors  icon_idea.gif

but for a photography geek like me, it is not a good news for camera stuff getting tax 6%...wtf...
*
It's not exactly out of GST, but GST replaces the current tax system, and if it applies to figures as well, it means we collectors are not affected as much, or probably even taxed lesser. But in other aspects like i pointed out, DSLRs & photography accessories are definitely affected. Not good news to me as well, especially when i need to get more lenses over time.

Freddy and Jason I can still take (they'd probably get along nicely with other yanderes like say, Gasai Yuno? )... I just hope they don't make a bishoujo Chucky, because that would just freak me out...>.<

Anyway,I love the dress on this one (yea, yea, I'm a sucker for frilly goth dresses  wub.gif  )...

Not if the leg is made of ABS plastic instead of PVC
*
QUOTE(shephard86 @ Nov 2 2013, 12:17 PM)
I think the whole thing will be made from PVC. I never heard of just the leg made from ABS and the body made from PVC. hmm.gif
*
It's 3 layers usually, the metal frame is within ABS, ad outside is PVC, but regardless what they use, im not worried about leaning

i also ordered olivia; i think no need to worry, knowing orchid seed, from preorder to release you can expect about 7 months of wait average. 7-8 months. She will most likely be released in Q3 next year.

Haha, agree, the joints. Pretty much why i dont like action figures in general, unless they are mecha-ish.
But a doll/puppet like Yaya (ongoing anime, Unbreakable Machinedoll) I WANT brows.gif

The face seems a bit off la wei...... Although the body seems quite ok. Daiki's figure are usually expensive and the quality seems meh...... But those they make under the label 'Dragon Toy' are good.  hmm.gif I think they're not very good on making figures of anime characters. hmm.gif
*
Agree; even that blonde one, something doesnt seem right to me. And i started hating her ever since she cut her hair. At least in Princess Lover (same artist as Walkure Romanze) kept her long hair. Now i enter lolicon mode, i like that whitehead twintail.
