Recently with no gst... looks worth to get more card to use and activate and get freebies..
I had so far pledge fd for maybank n hong leong bank for credit card.. both of the bank charge me rm10 for stamping.

so lately got public bank promo.. free phone n watch n so on..

So i went to get freebies again by placing some fd to get card again..

to my shock.. public bank say the fee is not rm10 stamping.. it is 5% of the total limit..
if u want place 10k, then charge 5% as stamp duty, which is rm50 and on top of that, need to make a banker cheque for dunno wad reason and charge rm5.xx

I was like... waddaffffd ????

Anyone encounter this same thing with this kiam aap bank ????

bro.. it is not about 0.5% of FD value that matters..

it is the processing..

lets say i want to pledge for PBB VS.. minimum is 35k..

so in order to get this card to FD pledge.. i need to pledge 35k.. let's say i pledge 40k for easy counting.

So the stamp duty for the 40k pledge will be 5% of the value.

40k x 5% = RM200

means i need to pay rm200, in order to pledge 40k FD to get the PBB VS with a 40k credit limit.

Other bank is RM10.. while PBB use 5% on the credit limit applied for..

No more such ruling already.
