Just got my replacement card due to card faulty. To my surprise, they had changed the card number.
Further more, the new card number is bringing backward.
My faulty card number was 6259 2120 1000 xxxx, but the new card number is 6259 2120 0000 xxxx

QUOTE(cklimm @ Aug 5 2015, 01:31 PM) Guys, i learnt that card usage at Genting Casinos are counted as cash advance, so what if i swipe my card at Genting First world for hotel room? will it be treated as cash advance also? They do have a special terminal for cash advance in the casino. It's not 'worth' to do cash advance at the casino, as they will charge 1.85% apart from standard bank cash advance charge. QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 09:51 AM) I must admit when I travelled to a smaller province in China, they don't accept non-China banks cards, so even if it is HSBC or Citibank is the same. Well, that is China and I believe NZ is still far advanced than China when it comes to this. What about Malaysia issued CUP card? Do they accept?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 11:48 AM) I don't have that card but I guess yes because they accepted my debit card that has UnionPay logo which is issued by ICBC Malaysia. So in simple words, as long as the card bearing the CUP logo, no matter it's issued in China or other country, they will accept it. Right?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 11:55 AM) Yes, I supposed because UnionPay automatically has the pin which they are looking for. Talking about that, I wanna visit ICBC soon for my banking matters, maybe can apply for a UP credit card... But I can qualify for gold only. Local issued CUP still signature based.. Some more not many merchants accept this card... Anyhow, I saw many AMbank signboard showing this CUP logo, however, when making payment, the cashier told that not accepted....

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 12:00 PM) I will only use it in China and it will come with pin. Not really, my China friend used her UP cards here and if they accept UP, will ask her to key in pin. You mean your icbc debit cup card comes with pin? The pin is same as atm withdrawal pin?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 01:29 PM) Key in pin. Yes, comes with pin. I think can be different but I set the same. Hmm.... If the icbc credit card without the pin. Shall call to the bank to request one? I mean the pin for purchase transaction, not the atm withdrawals.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 26 2015, 06:20 PM) Yeah, just noticed BOC doesn't have credit cards, only debit cards. http://malaysia.icbc.com.cn/ICBC/%E6%B5%B7...ing/CreditCard/Will read through it first before signing it up. Now the annual fee is waive with any 5x usage per annum. For its visa no problem, but its cup, susah sikit...
