They have android bundles that are worth it. Bought almost all Android since they first started it. And anomaly is in the bundles as well. Follow them on twitter for the next android bundles.

And to be honest, the quality of the games are really good , so I don't mind paying for games that is RM 6. The devs deserve it. Goes to other paid apps that I have bought too. If you have a family, perhaps setting a separate Google account for your purchases is a good strategy, as you can share the play store apps up to 5 devices.

it does not load to any screen at all? have you tried booting to bootloader straight away? if you can do that, then you can try and reflash stock factory image first and see if the problem goes away. if it doesn't then it is def hardware problem

possible. or if you purchase from overseas, you might get a brand new one at a price that is very close to that. 16GB wifi.


edit: did a quick search at lelong. directd subang is selling 16 gb brand new at 868

yeap. use apps like Yet Another Multitouch Test (YAMT) i think that is the name. and test the screen at different angles.


if it can boot to bootloader, then can reflash factory img. but if even that is not possible, best bet is to let Asus inspect the unit first? i don't think they would charge for inspection. otherwise, there are shops that other forumers have posted before. hope you'll figure something out.

the fit is nice and so far it is has been holding up fine. tbh, i prefer using the N7 without any fixed case, perhaps i'll get a decent sleeve case to cover the n7.

if you are not rushing, you might be able to get these cases at cheaper price from taobao, qoo10 etc, but the price that i paid at lelong is pretty fair in my opinion

CM supports SMS out of the box. No tweaking needed.

intel soc based devices has seen some great battery life. if apps compatibility won't be affected by much (x86 vs ARM), i'd say why not? I do hope that the developer support would be good.

What does the BBS says? Look at partial wake locks and alarms. Check the apps with high count and see if you can change the app's settings for refresh rate, or any other things that might wake the device and fine tune the settings there.

have thought of doing the same thing for my father. but have not implemented it.

i have tested in KL and KK.

the GPS performance is okay, even when data coverage is spotty so GPS is not assisted by cell tower triangulation.

if you want good routing with traffic info, then Google Maps or Waze.

and for completely offline use, try Papago.

media centre is no brainer, use bluetooth to route it to the car's audio.


you might need a tablet holder, which is something that i haven't looked for.

everything that i do on the phone(N4), except for calling or whatsapp (i use hangout instead).

+ movies + lectures slides + youtube + instagram + editing photos. the bigger screen really help, and the colour is quite good too. miles better than the washed out screen i have on the nexus 4.

still contemplating to buy or not? i guess the usage depends on your usage personally.

CyanogenMod has it built in into the OS. Just plug and play, the chainfire app is good too, I forgot the name of it. But it is by chainfire
