today i received a call from stanchart. i was so happy thinking that it's the retention team calling me and i can cancel my stanchart cc already. but the person just asked whether i'm interested in taking loans or balance transfer with a minimal interest.

i was like "i thought i already called to cancel my cc but why until now the retention team still did not call me???"

her response was "oh i see... i also wonder why... goodbye..." and hung up!

from my previous years experience was just request them to waive it without needing to swipe anything. on top of that, also received 6 months 0% balance transfer of rm11k.

i'm clearing all outstanding every month too. but i used this bt to pay off 3 of my other cc in rm4k, rm4k, rm3k. and even if those cc doesn't have so much outstanding, but because i'm using it very often, so i just use the rm11k bt to pay in advance, so i have extra cash flow for the next 6 months. brows.gif

you may ask for the contact detail of the senior management the cs mentioned. then contact directly to retract your application (if able to). usually if you have submitted your application, you cannot simply retract it.

if you have the chance to ask from the retention team, you don't need to be shy. many of us don't even have the chance to do so because the retention team did not call back but terminated our cc directly at the end.
