Ya, some babies may have fever. Most babies are uncomfortable during teething.
Depends how old the baby starts growing teeth. |

its not a myth, but there are some babies who would feel discomfort when teething but did not have fever.
my lo had this fever when reaching some milestone. At first I did not believe my mother's advice (baby demam cos she is learning/accomplishing something), but it was quite true for my lo. Maybe coincidence but just keep calm when your baby have fever. |

Hi all, this is an old topic. just want to ask...for my baby's case do any of you experienced parents apply any medication to soothe the teething? so sad to see him go thru this process.
My baby is having fever with temperature on average at 38 deg C since yest night. I haven't apply any medication and I only constantly apply wet drap on forehead and neck and it looks like this doesn't really help. I also notice temperature is only high on the head and upper part of the body. Baby now is 8.5 months. Any advice and feedback appreciated This post has been edited by kaacip: Apr 24 2020, 09:23 PM |

for chinese they did put some chinese medication oil forgotten the name, u can check with herbal shop they know, i didnt apply anything, just wipe off extra saliva. baby and kid's temperature r abit higher than grown up and their heartbeat faster too, so its pretty normal, got to be alert all the time about lo temperature. all the best |

QUOTE(kaacip @ Apr 24 2020, 09:22 PM) Hi all, this is an old topic. just want to ask...for my baby's case do any of you experienced parents apply any medication to soothe the teething? so sad to see him go thru this process. When possible see a doctor. But you posted this 6 days ago so most likely it should be settled by now. We go to our doctor quite often.. but.. i'd rather have the doctor tell us it's nothing don't worry and sleep well then go to the doctor to late.My baby is having fever with temperature on average at 38 deg C since yest night. I haven't apply any medication and I only constantly apply wet drap on forehead and neck and it looks like this doesn't really help. I also notice temperature is only high on the head and upper part of the body. Baby now is 8.5 months. Any advice and feedback appreciated Relating to fever, our baby had a high fever (40.5) at 10 months old, the only advice we got from the doctor was to net let the fever go above 39 celcius. once it reaches 39 cool your baby down. 38 is still fine as your baby needs a little fever to fight of what ever is bothering your baby's health. |
