DCII is better than matrix?
*
of course Matrix is better in terms of stock performance...just that it will eat up 3slots. overclocking wise, cant say which one is better...depends on our luck and this time I got lucky with dc2 Top hehe

QUOTE(Puteih @ Nov 17 2013, 05:28 PM)
what about the temperature? cool enough?

The only thought why I wanted to get Toxic is this
*
yeah cool enough and noise level very2 satisfying..even the fans running at 60% the noise is still acceptable.

hmm same card as mine and I do face similar problem before but now its totally gone...You're on win7 or 8.1 now? ermmmm, I suggest try do these first:

- uninstall everything related to AMD radeon driver (clean your registry as well after full uninstall)
- uninstall every overclocking or monitoring tools including profiles etc..
- restart your PC and install AMD driver 13.11 b8 (what I was using right now)

As sai86 mentioned, its a good idea to try out your GC on another PC...swapping is a good way to troubleshoot problem but we need another PC for that laugh.gif

NecroPhilia It could be win8.1 trial(no update?) and driver conflict, from my current 280x Top, 5pcs of my previous HD7970s, 2pcs 7850s, 7770 none of them have any issues on Win 7 64bit eventhough I always keep the driver updated to latest beta driver. Its a good idea if you can fresh install win7 on separate HDD/SSD and try latest 13.9 WHQL..see if the problem goes away or not.

if the problem persist, then I suggest go to nearest computer shop ask for their help to try out...then only RMA if confirm GPU problem.

Thanks for the reply.I just worried about my card is defect and not complaining about amd fault or anything. don't take it as an offence as I just wanted this card to work in my rig smoothly and no problem to play videos and games smile.gif thanks
It had update lol :S I would try it on my windows 7 system by tomorrow and see got any problem because previously my GTX560TI sit on this system with no problem at all, after I swap in this r9 280x,then problem occur :S
*
laugh.gif Lol no offense taken at all..I was just telling that no issues on win7 64bit thus I've no idea if it's on Win8.1..it would seem to me that you really need to find out whether your GC or software conflict causing this problem..try out some of our sifu's suggestion and let us know your result icon_rolleyes.gif

You can go to the overclocking thread here. The guys there will he happy to destroyhelp you overclocking your card. biggrin.gif
My only advise is start slowly, 1.256v is already plenty for 1150mhz-1200mhz imo. What is your card ASIC quality % btw?
*
lol you serious?.. I never destroy my cards before due to even an extreme overclocking...dont worry guys as long as we know what we're doing nothing will goes wrong when overclocking our GPU. just need to monitor the temperatures(core, vrms) by playing around with fan profile, A/C or watercooling.
