Mastercard if you use your credit card overseas. Lower admin conversion fees.

Heck yeah, always use Amex where possible. Why not just use the mbb2 visa/master for those merchants that don't accept amex? You'd still get 1x points.

Getting another card just for non-amex accepting situations might not be so viable if you dont spend alot on that card. The cards annual fee and RM50 gst might make you lose money if you don't meet requirements to waive/offset them. Just my humble opinion.

Lots of purchases do not accept amex such as insurance payments which can be quite huge. Assuming a cashback rate of 1% (which is the minimum ppl should look for in a card), you only need a yearly spend of RM 5000 to recover the GST. Annual fees should ideally be free too, but at the very least, free for first year, then call to waive.

Also, once you have reached the RM1k per month, returns will be down to 2% from 7%. Some other cards can give better than that.

Travel Penang- HK-Taiwan, what the best cards to bring.

Me thinking
UOB Visa Infinite - the priority cards for HK Lounge
Citibank visa premier miles for others lounge (maybe Penang one)

Taiwan not so much accepting CC, probably will use M2U 2cards

okay?
