QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 5 2013, 09:03 PM) Maybank doesn't have free gifts one la. You can forget about this part. I got RM 50 rebate during my first year because it is by invitation and without me noticing, I was one of those got invited. Nowadays no more. After that I just use my treat points to redeem. ya the only "free gift" you can hope from them is their ever lasting rebate and treatpoints combo

QUOTE(boysrule @ Nov 6 2013, 10:33 AM) but treatspoint value inflation and points no longer evergreen. 3 years expiry let me know if there is other card that gives 5% rebate plus 2% worth of points. with expiry or not, it's still the best card there is.

QUOTE(,Dec 11 2013, 02:22 AM) 13. The 5% cash back on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) for MBB 2 AMEX includes Petrol and is additional to the 5X Treats Points. However it is reported that some online transactions on weekends DO NOT earn the 5% cash back as it depends on the timing the merchant processes the transaction. 21. The 5% Cash Back payout MONTH is subjected to POSTING DATE not transaction date. your answers r not relevant to what he was asking

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 29 2013, 12:30 PM) my statement date is 21st. since CB is by calendar month, it'll be in next month's statement but will be shown in M2U transaction records anyway yep, always manually on weekend. Unifi autopay gives you RM2 rebate (if i'm not mistaken), but Amex got 5% CB is translates to about RM7.xx (unifi VIP5 @ RM149) which is awesome not yet include the 5X TP with Amex lehhh Unifi bill for the past 3 months were generated around 28th (earlier this year was around 25th-26th). i guess with the increasing customers, their bill generation takes longer now. so i'll always pay on the weekend when the bill comes (or, just pay the standard RM149 regardless of getting bill statement or not) cuz it'll be offset anyway and you have to pay the bill sooner or later. i always pay on my last weekend of the month even though i dont have my monthly bill yet. payment via mb2u doesnt require bill no, only account no. this way, i could pay however much i want to fill up the monthly rebate. if it aint enough, i could always pay more in my next bill. it's all about planning ur payment wisely...

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 4 2014, 10:21 PM) jsut tried M2U to pay the quit rent (cukai hasil tanah) and charge to AMEX. got a Reject code [0003] Account is not authorised. any idea what's the issue? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « *Update: ok, talked thru MBB Customer Service. The payee (Pejabat Pengarah Tanah & Galian Selangor) in M2U does not accept any payment by any credit cards. Payment via CASA is accepted (just confirmed pay thru via Savings Accounts in M2U). The AMEX option from the payment list is a bug/misleading from M2U. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « try again tmr. sometimes things like this happen.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Jan 6 2014, 06:21 PM) because i'm from the older generation. i keep all the statements from different banks in ring files. just as a record of my transactions. i know we can keep the the softcopy statements in phones/pc/memory cards/pen drives/hard disks/etc. (if really needed to record the transactions). but as i've mentioned, i'm from the older generation... so i still prefer hardcopies... it's about changing the mentality. i know some older generations who prefer to pay bills at post office, despite numerous attempts to convince them it can be done online. it's about whether one dares to change.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jan 6 2014, 07:40 PM) it is not wrong to have a preference for paper statement. We cannot expect everyone to be computer illiterate. not saying which is right or wrong. i repeat. it's whether you dare to change. if you dare, you would go all the way in learning the newest technology.
