Maybank CS told me they will charge $1 for paper statement every month when I applied for this cc. Not worth it.

Hmm, I didn't ask. I just applied for the MBB 2cards and that's what the CS told me about the $1 charge. I guess the policy must be recent. Anyway, I opted for the online statements. I already have a MBB Petronas card and have been receiving online statements all this while.

Yes! Mbb sc did help tick the form for me after she explained on the $1 charges. Guess I forgot to mention this part as her words had more impact to me.

Ai, sorry again; was rushing for something and mistyped. I meant she helped me to cancel that part of the form as she was explaining to me verbally on the charges.

I just applied on Sat. Plan to collect the cards tomorrow. I don't need paper statements as my current mbb petronas card is already using online statements.

I plan to cancel the petronas mbb but only in July (just before the gst kicks in Aug). That should give me ample time to move my insurance payment to the new cards. Hehe. As for the treat points, I have enough to redeem some cash vouchers. Will do that soon.

Let me ask mbb center tomorrow. I don't mind paying cash because I usually redeem cash voucher. Ex: Aeon big voucher using same points at mbb card center. End up spend the same amount on groceries. Hmm, actually, aeon big gives $105 gift card for 25k points.

Updated: I applied supplementary cards. Hence, my gst cost more.

I got a call from mbb card center. Same cs who attended to me. She said my cards are ready. Good. Hope no issues with maybank2u linking.

Just got my 2 cards. Tp will be combined automatically with my existing mbb petronas card. I redeemed two aeon big $105 voucher first.

To add on, I requested mbb to SMS me for any purchases. I guess that would mean $1 above. Filled in the form and that's it.

Hmm, I checked my maybank2u account and the 2 cards are already shown there. Collected my cards today from the card center at the gardens.

Checking account. Shouldn't matter as long as you can access maybank2u online account, rite?

When I applied, CS checked my existing mbb petronas card and wanted to give the same credit limit. I asked for higher limit and they wanted 3 months payslip. Fortunately, I had the docs ready. And got the credit limit raised.

Yup, same case as mine. Only need IC. They will check your history based on the Petronas cc. I only submitted my payslips to increase the credit limit.
