1. Card first, then you need to go the bank and fill in some forms and they will have to manually add your card in. Remember bring both card. They will have to add both manually.
2. Using IBG from anywhere including cimb clicks. IBG regualar 10cent charge applies
3. I can't recall what is the default. But right now mine is are emailed. If you want paper form later, you have to call in to request if i not mistaken. Best practice to maximize benefit is to pay as close as possible to the due date while the cash is park in a higher interest rate saving account or FD account. But this style might not be everyone style

3. by default is paper to your home address. but you can opt to view from m2u. not sure whether you can have it email to you electronically. it is wiser to wait until you get your statement and pay it off in one go. reason is so that you will have more cash flow.

oh hi there! saw your thread in kopitiam...
1. a simple maybank account is good enough. not much required for opening new account there. then, straight away register m2u. but since your not getting the card yet, better register for the card 1st, then open CASA later.
2. better as well to make payment at branch. i mean, there's a lot of them around...a lot of them around Malaysia..
3. payment patterns will differ from person to person. i suggest waiting for the statement first, then pay off the amount stated inside the statement. duration between statement date -> due date is 20 days, so should be ample time to clear off any outstanding then

1. If you don't have any bank accounts with MBB, you can't link them into one m2u account. It has to be 2 separate accounts for each card. That is from my own experience.
2. IBG transfer is fine. As are cheques from other banks. Instructions on the various payment channels available will be printed on the back side of your monthly statement.
3. I get it in paper form, sent to my home address. Make the payment only upon receiving the statement, but before the payment due date. There's no use applying for a
credit card if you do not utilise the credit line, innit?

Yes, no need CASA to have M2U. I posted it since V1 and today we at V8 it is still stated in Post#1.
I managed to open a M2U with my Maybank credit cards when I first got my MBB 2 Card years ago. But then I found out about Maybank Online Account paying relatively high interest rate so I opened a MBB Savings Account where a new M2U account will be created and I had to link all my Maybank credit cards to it on the day the Savings Account/M2U was created. I did published an article about my experience on this second M2U account but too bad that articles is no longer available.
Those of you who have more than RM2K at any time in your Savings Account, maybe you should look at Maybank 2U Savers and Saver-i. Click here to read my article
The Best Savings Account in Malaysia. So
1. You need the card in hand before you can sign up for M2U and you don't need MBB CASA.
2. Why don't you just go to your CIMB Clicks and check out "Transfer/Payment" and you sure will find out for sure.
3. You'll get paper statement. If you want eStatement without M2U, call MBB Customer Service to find out. But if you have M2U, you can then select the paperless option; however, I strongly recommend that you do not select the paperless/eStatment option for a few months to familiarize on how M2U summary works by comparing it to the paper statement.
Thanks for the input guys.
I went ahead and applied at the klcc brand at 3pm last Friday and was told that they'd try to process it in the hour (their policy is if you submit an application on business days before 4pm you can expect your cards within the hour). I was told to not leave the premise as i might be called back to pick up my cards. I got a call an hour later to provide a single detail i missed and i have not heard from them since. I expected a call over the weekend or at the very least a confirmation that my application was being processed and i could pick it up today but I've heard nothing so far.
I'm gonna give them a call later. The cc hot line is 1 300 88 6688 correct?
