QUOTE(zaidi @ Oct 21 2013, 02:41 PM) using stock rom and semaphore kernel, touch wake can be enabled and working fine for me. You mean Semaphore can be used together with stock ROM? Is root needed to use Semaphore?

QUOTE(zaidi @ Oct 21 2013, 03:08 PM) many kernels are compatible with stock rom. you can compile your own too yes, you need root. I think when you want to overwrite the default kernel, you will need root. Thanks for the sharing

QUOTE(ShengHow @ Oct 22 2013, 09:31 AM) Exactly the same problem when using wifi sometimes need to turn on the screen then the Wahatsapp msg only will receive could it be wifi is sleeping while screen is off? After your phone goes sleep, you press power button to wake up the screen, and immediately observe is there wifi logo on status bar? Mines I set to 'keep wi-fi on only when plugged in'...

Sifus here who was using 4.2.2 with stock ROM & Kernel, after upgraded to 4.3, what is the benefit in this version for our phone? Is that good to upgrade to that version?
By the way, how are you backup your app + data before upgrading?

Just chose to upgrade. Thanks for the link, let me go through it

QUOTE(mizynee @ Oct 23 2013, 02:36 PM) haha.. maybe they think reboot is not a necessary after all.. why u wanna reboot an awesome stuffs like this.. therefore reboot button not required.. LOL.. (just my personal view) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « even iphone also dun hv reboot button.. So the only way to reboot is power off, then long press power button to power on back ? But so far there is really no sign that need to reboot phone for smooth experience, phone is all the while smooth as butter.... This post has been edited by s30ckf: Oct 23 2013, 03:58 PM

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Oct 23 2013, 03:51 PM) http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/nexus-4-problems/^ All the problems fixed already? I'm planning to get a nexus4 but worried with the reviews. http://blog.gsmarena.com/google-nexus-4-ba...e-galaxy-nexus/Gsmarena test revealed terrible online browsing battery life. Is this true on today's android updated version? Heating is experienced on my phone while charging, or surfing net. But the heat level is still acceptable. Screen turn off while answering phone, i think this is the feature right? to prevent user face accidentally press the hang call button. The rest of the problems so far haven't encounter yet (sentuh kayu)

QUOTE(skip2malou @ Oct 28 2013, 12:06 AM) Fastest way is copy paste the folder of your picture and songs in your phone to your computer. Usually stored in Picture , DCIM , Music, or other folders that have pictures/music in it. You can also look for notification, ringtone folders if you have anything stored there. DO you know how can we copy our desired ringtone file to /system/media/ringtones without root?

QUOTE(mizynee @ Oct 28 2013, 11:52 AM) erm.. we dont need root to do that so.. just connect ur phone to ur pc.. usually autorun will pop out and ask for ur action.. choose open folder to view files.. then copy your desired ringtone file to the Ringtones folder.. I tried before using Airdroid to connect using wifi, and when copy paste the files to /system directory, it not allow because it is read only (not write). I haven't try connect using USB cable, will try this way and see if it allow to copy paste.
