reverted to dalvik and tried out the bionix +dalvik patch... ART is still smoother. gonna go back to ART.

as long as you modified your OS, be it root or custom kernel, you can't update via OTA. flash using the factory image.

learnt something new today - managed to sideload 4.4.1 to my N4.

now, does whatsapp runs well on ART??

Basicly, dl the OTA 4.4.1, dl sdk, and side load when phone in recovery mode.

it's probably hard to see any difference. the source code for 4.4.2 has not been pushed too. so cannot do any diff to find out what was fixed.

but from the patch i can see 73 system app got patched from 4.4.1. mostly just small patch, so it could be just version update. but facelock.apk and googlecamera.apk got quite a big patch.

in bin, the following file got patched:

most patch are small... except sensors.qcom.

in framework, 78 apk got patched. mostly small patches, except telephony-common.odex and ext.jar.

in lib, 18 files has patch. biggest of all is libpatts_engine_jni_api.so.p, this file is about text-to-speech. i guess it can now understand more languages?

libwebviewchromium.so.p has huge patch too. this is your chrome.

libwvdrmengine.so.p got huge patch too.. DRM media stuff.
