I think its a tactical change. Plus, when Flamini was subbed, Arteta started making a few mistakes. The first half, Arsenal pressed Norwich City players whenever we lost possession. The ball barely pass over our half. But unless you have a vtec engine in your chest, you're going to get tired quickly from that high tense method. Once we got the first goal, its clear the team is playing a more reserved approach.

You got to give Norwich players some credit, they played well as a unit, and they look comfortable behind the ball, evident from their one goal of the night/day.

So yeah, I've no gripe about our play tonight. It was some good mix of atacking and defending added with some beautiful individual skill. Having without Flamini was a clear sign that our defensive quality was declining, but bringing in Ramsey added twice the quality of our atacks up front. Check out his goal and you can see even the stadium steward can help but smile looking at how adorable he is.

Recalling back during Fabregas era, most of our play was clueless and lack that intent once we had the ball. This time around, the players have all the intention to put the ball behind the net and the quality to do so. No more passing around the pitch with no results, everything happen in a more direct and faster approach, which resulted in our awesome counter attack where özil scored with his puny head.

Osasuna drew against Barcelona last night by parking the bus. Most lower teams know that to beat teams playing tiki-taka is to play 8-2-0 formation. So far, no teams used that tactic on us, hence why we benefitted so much against them who opted to an open play.

Having no clean sheet might not be the best results for our GKs, but it does tell the other teams to give it a go and score against us, rather than be contented with a draw. Since its still too early in the season, most teams require goals to help with goal differences and league points, but as we reach the end of the season, some clubs will realize that to survive relegations and dropped points, they need to use a more repressive approach against highly possive teams such as Arsenal.

I do hope we won't ever meet such kind of team playing park the bus, but if we do, I certainly hope our players can break their defence with plethora of ways. Afterall, we've scored thru almost every possible approach...header, set pieces, one-twos. I think we only haven't gotten any goals from penalties or freekicks, correct me if I'm wrong.

lol, agreed! But the way every one of them played, seems like they can just play every game even without them manager to tell them anything.
