What is the idle speed for your almera? Mine seems to hover ard 1.1-1.2k. Seems rather high, shouldn't it be 700 rpm?
*
after warm up
idle RPM is between 700 - 800

What do you think? My car is model 2013...not until one year kaw kaw drop...before this insured RM70k for VL but now? This got quote from LonPac, panel insurance Nissan.
*
look for vios or City for better RV> almera dont have that

if you did your research properly on Nissan car RV
they never have a good RV. not in sentra, xgear. livina or even slyphy

To all almera owners, can u guys share why u all choose almera instead of the vios or city? How's the fc compare to those 2? Quite interested in almera, but wan to know more..
*
1. legroom.
2. price - for RM67k mana mau cari
3. service center near to home n working place
4. good service from salesman the moment i walk into showroom ( yes this also count ) and now the service center people also very nice and friendly

fc is less concern for me.

tips:

yesterday when I wind down my window on the driver side. when I want to wind up, it will not auto up.
I panic and plan to go to Nissan service centre today to check.
luckily I met 1 of my friend who ever work with Nissan service before.
this is what you should do.

1st do not panic and calm down. happy.gif
2nd start your car.
3rd wind the window all the way down, then wind up again till close. remember when you wind up, do not let go of the switch; hold it for more than 30 sec. then the problem will be solve.

reason behind : that day when I send for radiator warranty, they dismantle the battery. so all the memory of all electrical component been wipe out.

time/radio/trip A&B reading/ normally ppl say it also reset your ECU & now the auto wind up & down window memory too ^^.

so whoever face the same issue, hope u try this out before go and screw the SA/service centre happy.gif cheers... happy Saturday.
*
thanks for the tips

Guys, i went throught this thread and seems like almera is a problematic car? Worse than proton? Bearing, air cond fan, rattling sounds like very frequent, almost on every car.. Like always got issue de car..
*
touch wood

Thanks for the feedback.. At least I know some cars are not..

Reason I ask is because there are too many complaints bout this issue over here, not several.. And always the same problems..

Other thread like vios or city also have their fair share of problems, but theirs is not tie down to 2 or 3 popular prob..

Planning to get an almera, and I am feeling better after seeing your comments..
*
frankly speaking
read more fbook comment and forums
buy a car and brand u feel comfortable
and if any problems occurs later, at least you already did you home work..

Btw guys, I saw from some old posts that this car have a HARD time driving up Genting. Is it true??
*
never go up genting yet
but up to cameron no problem with 3 adults
enough power to go up. not enough to race up

I see. I went through the old Almera thread (2013) and many recommended Potent Booster? Heard that one can control our throttle thing.

*
i got no comment on potent booster coz i dont have it
but currently the power is more than enough for daily commute

current milage = 36k
FC = 11.2 - 11.6km/L average
commute from mainland to island Penang everyday

anyway i never opt for any octane booster. for me all those are rubbish.

i am quite satisfy with current FC. not the best of course but good enough

Converted mine. Abt 10.9km/L

Not very satisfied. Can be better.

Whats your l/100km? Mines standing at 9.1L/100km. cry.gif
*
for that reading in meter, you will need to occasionally reset it .
i think its not very accurate.
mine reading is 7.6 to 8.5L/100km

hi, today im going to service for 1000km mileage.
usually how much time it takes for this service ya?
bcos if just short time, i can go on weekdays.
*
if you want to get ur car done less than 2 hours, try to book the first slot of the day.
for my case i always book 830 am slot. by 10 am my car is ready with car wash

the reason for 3 hours is because back log of previous appointment
