There's no servers up and running yet. Its a totally new game on its own. Whatever tactics you used in BF2 won't work anymore in BF2142.

so use the EA username just like when we are registering CD-key (in other EA title like NFSU2)

only thing thats not confirm yet if someone wants to is...

i simply created a new EA username, say ABC, for the demo, and used Everdying as soldier name.

so is the EA username ABC tied to the soldier name?
or can we use our old EA username and get back the soldier name we want?

I think its ABC is linked to your BF 2142 CD Key.

So if you come over to my house and log in using ABC, it won't connect coz my CD Key is different from yours.

Under ABC, you can have x amount of soldiers like:

ABC account has:
1) TheWhacker
2) Whacker_is_cool
3) Everdying_not_cool

Something like that

nono, what i mean is...
if i have already used EA acc ABC to register a soldier name say Whacker_loves_barney...

can i use another acc called XXX and use back the same soldier name?

Oh ... i don't think you can coz Whacker_loves_barney is already registered to ABC account. Unless you delete it, then XXX account can create Whacker_loves_barney.
