im using 2x512MB corsair xms2 6400 800Mhz... can i add another Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 2x1GB to it ?

If your FSB is lower than your RAM... Then your RAM will still run as the same speed as the FSB?

i've already set the timing at bios to 4-4-4-12.,but when i use cpuz-z the timing was 5-5-5-18..which one is correct,and why the cpuz can't detect the 4-4-4-12 timing..

I refered to the ram list and only found that it states that Crucial Ballistix comes with D9GMH. What about Ballistix Tracer line? Do they confirm come with D9GMH?

is it wise to get the ocz gold pc6400 xtc 2x1gb? I am not a hardcore overclocker, i just hope i can reach fsb 400mhz and the ram remain stable. And is the ram faster than normal value ram? Is it significant?
THe ocz gold is quite cheap tho, around rm220 for 2gb.

yaya.. i wan stable. And my ram is 512mbx2, i wanna upgrade to bigger size also. I wan to grab a new piece of ram tat can sustain my current oc level and it is stable. My current ram not stable i think.

the current batch of hynix fp-5ys are ridiculous in OC.. dont buy em..

yes but remember my chipset is promos. not the micron chipset, ballistix have the best overclocker chips in the mass market now. So having to get it at my result is quite good. apalah abang, never support me also.

in that website there is a memory diagnostic on what memory your system runs on

if your laptop supports dual channel, then u run 2*1GB, u will have a little performance gain. But if your laptop doesnt, then go for the single 2GB instead. To find out about whether its dual channel or not, you can download cpu-z to find out. I am not too sure about crucial.com whether they do tell u that.

maybe u can ask king99..if u dun mind, ballistix tracer also can..for better choice look for crucial 10th anny..i heard team elite also can do it..OCZ i never tried, maybe u can asked other forummer for other brands..

i got a question, can a pair of single sided ram and double sided ram OC together? is it possible?
