try oxidise more ur mesh .. try coil not too low ohm .. and try start using low battery

hmm i did think i oxidized it enuff. i oxidize it 4 times whn it was flat before i rolled it just to be sure.

Eh? One or two times is enough. Guess is not because of the mesh then.

There are several ways to eliminate it. One way is to make your coil closer to the positive pin. Another is to use a thin layer of cotton.

Can use this method 1st, confirm 100% works. Boil and dry your cotton 1st of coz.

Better to boil it... I at 1st thought don't need to boil since I bought sterilized cotton for wound cleaning. But once I tried to boil it, there's this chemical smell and a layer of something on top of the water. So boil it and then rinse it under running water, just in case.

Going to Body Shop tomorrow to look for organic cotton balls. Hopefully can find some to build my micro coil.

U can try by making the topmost coil shorter or mesh closer to the pole. The mesh will bend a bit la. This way the kanthal wont be that long and reduce the hotspot. Use 28 kanthal.. Easier.

Or u can make the second wrap closer to the topmost wrap. It'll share the load, so no hotspot. If still got, follow suit with the third wrap closer to the second.

If still got, reoxidize your mesh.

If still got, add one more wrap. Lets say currently 4 wraps, do 5 wraps.

If still got, get another tank.
