I think vinnilaa is the first recorded phone dropper....that could have caused the crack.
At least we know the screen replacement price. |

It's been a lively day. Sorry to hear about vinnilaa's case but it will be good if she is successful with her consumer case.
It seems that the scrapbook feature is a really nice touch by Samsung as i use it an awful lot especially to track useful posts for later adding. I'll try adding more posts this evening but work is getting pretty heavy. |

QUOTE(reymura99 @ Oct 10 2013, 01:44 PM) Hi everyone. It does tend to get hot but after the last update and a reboot it seems to have reduced. Hot means more than 55 degrees C.I just bought this phablet from digi. Since first day it has been nightmare to me as I pick up note 3 mainly for web browsing. Each time after browser over 10 minutes the phone tend to warm near camera area. But I am ok with it, until suddenly brightness has been reduced automatically. I have set it to manual and disable auto adjust screen tone. And at the brightness setting there is alert "maximum brightness has been reduce to avoid overheat" is this normal? I did a RAM clear and a reboot then this heat seems to have reduced these few days. There's also a brightness setting in the browser too. Uncheck Auto there as well. |

Imho the anymode case seems brittle and will crack easily. |

QUOTE(PGGTrader @ Oct 10 2013, 09:23 PM) Source : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2474422 Just found this, designgears @ XDADevelopers with the help of ChainFire has found a way to root AT&T Note 3 N900A without tripping the KNOX Counter, and it seems like designgears might be developing a N9005 version as well. Hope he will release it soon for the rest of us who wants to root but still want to keep the warranty. QUOTE(vasanth83 @ Oct 10 2013, 09:48 PM) Finally bought my. Some modding should not be out of the question....get a hole punch and make a hole where the notification LED is Lots of black left (around 7~8pcs) and lots of pink. No orange though.. The only bad thing with the SView is I can no longer use the LED notification feature cos it's covered by the cover Plus point is the back cover has 1~2mm gap which prevents the camera from touching the table. I can now chuck my phone on the table without worrying the scratches but then, still not used to flip. Otterbox, UAG.. faster release la.. |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Oct 10 2013, 10:06 PM) A friend bought this for RM99. Fully plastic and the frontal plastic spoils the entire Full HD of the Note 3 Some things do not need OVER-engineering. There can be genius is simplicity. We do not need the complicated contraptions of FallenAngelz or antt00Let me get the mechanical drawing of the SView and then request my Mech engineer to rework the hole for the LED |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 10 2013, 11:54 PM) For those having poor performance on wwchat especially UI. Go to developer option and tick for force GPU rendering and restart. Our phone uses the GPU for most of the operation, this wont cause extended draining. Why would a chat app need such brute GPU power?????? |

Hi all, just a reminder, PLEASE PM ME and not just tag me when posting, because this thread is still hitting 300++ posts per day and although I scrapbook a lot, I may miss some things. PM me for stuff you want added to the first page. Provide links, a short description or the link to your post directly. It's easier this way. QUOTE(tarm @ Oct 11 2013, 12:35 AM) For those looking for Samsung Gear alternative, here is my short review of Sony Smartwatch 2 connected with my Note 3 at Android Smartwatch thread. Nice review. I posted a question after your post in that thread. Appreciate if you could let me know.Sony Smartwatch 2 short review. Will be selling my Pebble watch very soon (any takers?) Thanks. BTW does it use the standard microUSB 2 charging cable or some other kind of dock/proprietary cable? Always hated the way you needed to MAKE.BELIEVE with their proprietary stuff. |
