check in youtube for speed comparison. it is indeed slightly faster at loading stuff.

but the fact that not all apps works with it render it unpractical for me.
i dont feel a fraction of smoothness or slight increase in battery life is worth sacrificing app compatibility

Bro.. who have UK (BTU) stock 4.3 download link. Sammobile one seems not working anymore even they have change to other download site and Samsung-updates removed their link.

Cause i planned to flash UK and get update from OTA..

Now on official CM11. So far so good, super fast & smooth and also quite stable even on nightly.

me too. but got one place always got low animation frame rate.
the notification tray, when tap the quick settings button, the flip animation is inconsistent, half the time its very laggy.

other than that works great. stable and very smooth.

have to rely on xposed and gravity box to get back following features
~status bar brightness slider
~volume button cursor control
~show day beside clock
~expand volume control

remember to install cyandelta from play store.

it will check the nightly for you, download a small file only, about 10-30MB, then help you to update.
works great. no need use cm updater to download the whole rom 180MB
only workw with twrp recovery

I recall someone asked me how to restore backup from Titanium Backup after factory reset and i remember i reply saying copy to same location and in fact no need what what you need to do is,

1. Copy back your TB to SD card
2. Launch TB
3. Go to Preference
4. Click Backup Folder location
5. Click Detect

And TB will search for available backup.

Ouh, hopefully they will updated it. Last few page I saw you change to ART. Why when I change to ART from developer option menu, it prompt to reboot but when reboot I checked it still use Dalvik like nothing happened. Do I need to do something else?

but definitely notice a difference. in kitkat, so many apps can be kept in ram.
meaning when launching it again, way less loading time.

camera, dialer, whatsapp, settings, browser. all when launch again it opens very quickly.
even my file manager i open once in the morning, when night time after using so much apps, fb and google+,
when i open file manager again, it pops up instantly still remember the directory i'm at. really amazing.

when using samsung touch wiz 4.3 wanam, i got so frustrated.
opening whatsapp takes so long, it always get killed. seems no more than 2/3 apps can be kept in memory.
even opening settings, it always load as if its loading for the first time. got 1 second delay before it appear.

the gpu performance really better?

i get same results even when compared to slimbean 4.2

about 7 user apps being kept in cache. relaunching them again is very fast.
less delay, more happy user.

I want to ask about ART. I go to developer option and change from Dalvik to use ART. Then it reboot. After reboot, I checked back and it still use Dalvik like nothing happened. How is that? Need to do something else?

Duno. Dun plan to try art.

Sometimes it's really placebo effect.
In xda, people like the say art is faster.
But then when they say they use gravity box, then other member point out they they are actually using dalvic. Because gravity box will auto change it back to dalvic.
