Firstly, since you just bought it then why not claim warranty?
Secondly, Sudden death got nothing to do with power button is MOBO failure.
Thirdly, not most S3 have Sudden Death.

I am in 4.3 Ireland and china kernal. If you taking Ireland copy you will face many annoying bugs but the most annoying one is unlock delay, hot after a while and battery drain but after flashing China stock kernel these 3 bugs solved but other minor bugs like multiple windows not working..

My advice is not flash first cause you cannot download back cause efs location different causing your phone lost all signal.

Myself personally I love it cause performance improve at lors and screen color really shaper.

Caused by efs folder for 4.1.2 and 4.3 not the same..

NO WAY!

My proposal is you flash China 4.3 Kernal that is stable enough, i am using it for few days and so far so good.

At least no unlock delay, no battery draining and no too hot after using a while issue. thumbup.gif
