I am looking for medical card for both of my parents.. Age 50 and 51

I am looking for MEDICAL card only... SO don't offer me Investment link, Unless you able to come out with IL with monthly RM100 (if not stick with medical card only..

I am looking for AIA and Alliance...

Please whatapps me at 013-4X175X530 <<---ignore the X
Do not call... i am working most of the time..

Hope you understand the different between term insurance and investment link.

Unless you plan only to get medical plan for maybe 5-10 years or less, then term insurance will be the best option (such as company only cover till 60 or retire)

Your parent could live till 90, understand medical insurance increase by age due to higher risk. The premium may cost 3-5 times expensive then during age 50. Then you might complain insurance cost not reasonable & too expensive to continue.

Investment link premium might be higher, but it will help to offset the increase of insurance cost in future.

I had just spoken to a close friend having Allianz.

Her husband was having several tumors in the brain and had undergone the procedure to remove it.

The bill amounted to RM 220K, and Allianz paid for it after few months!

Upon renewal, the policy has exclusion for tumor, which is only claimable for RM 3,000! She was totally pissed!

Allianz agent explained to her why her policy excluded... Why is this so!?

I thought medical card should be paid internally via insurance company to hospital? If that's the case, your friend's husband have to fork out RM220k to pay for the bill first and then only claimable after few months?

As far as I know, Great Eastern and Prudential have term&condition not to alter policyholder's benefit but premium. Whereas the above looks like Allianz reserve the right to alter policy's benefit as well?

Have to wait Allianz agent to explain the T&C. However, most of the giant insurance company do not have this clause.

Normally 100k annual limit should be adequate unless special case.

RM100k per annum definitely will not be enough. If that's yours, then you have to pay the balance of RM120k and the GST. brows.gif

Ok, just let me know if she needs help.. I'll see what I can do after understanding the whole situation...
Under standard procedure, they wouldn't have to pay first and claim later... unless her husband is treated in overseas of course...

I am currently a Prudential policy holder, bought from my cousin brother who has been an agent for nearly one year but recently a friend of mine that has been in Allianz approached me and started comparing my existing Prudential policy to the Allianz and I was surprised with the RM200 premium that I am currently paying made such a big difference.

I did consider surrender my Prudential to start with Allianz but my colleagues and close friends asked me not to because it sounds to good to be true, as in Allianz might give everything right now but will increase premium in the future. I am so confused right now, then friend from AXA then introduced me the AXA medical card that is unlimited lifetime limit and I can spend up to RM500,000 per year.

AXA i think its a small company and they would do anything to gain market share and as I did my own research, I realized Allianz is kind of new too in Malaysia but Prudential has been in the market for quite some time.

Please help me out here as I am quite confused after reading the posts from Forum and I do not intend to start any arguments here because I know how agents would defend their company. Please advise, I do not want to make a mistake like a relative of mine that didn't get to claim from a particular company.

Sifus advise here would be much appreciated!

Bro, I am not insurance agent but keen in updating my personal knowledge in insurance and the latest product.

How good is Allianz? I have no idea, but 1 thing i know is agents always tell you their product the best.

What I can tell you from my personal view is, all insurance company is good regardless big or small. Why? Any of them go bankrupt, every other competitor willing to take over (some called merging) it and restructure (some called it expansion) to capture the market share. At the end, any insurance holder still capable to do their claims as it's under bank negara control.

Nowadays nobody talk about how big your company is, how long you are in the market, how good is your service. Nobody will say can claim or not. Of course for sure if you lost your policy then I have no comment. tongue.gif

Nowadays people only concern big protection with cheaper rate as all know insurance can claim if all requirement meet. To be honest, I only buy medical protection and donate blood every 3 months in government hospital. icon_rolleyes.gif

If can get the same protection with cheaper rate why not? But of course do have a study on the underwriting of the policy. Premium? All insurance company will increase their premium in future, bro. Allianz is new, so? New thing not good? Axa is small? then GE,PRU, AIA, and PI, which 1 is biggest? If Axa have unlimited lifetime limit and 500k annual limit, sounds very good. Then what's the room and board rate? Covers up to what age? Co insurance?

How good is an agent service can go? Why do you need their service? If your agent having holiday and you are in a rush of admitted to hospital, do you think your agent will cancel the holiday and come back serve you? Oiii..just discuss only..ok..Peace brows.gif
