aros although hardy... are quite sensitive to water parameters

you mean totally washed it? using tap water?
if tat was the case could be the bb all gone have to wait till it cultivate again as the filter needs time to mature again...
carefull when u wash filter/filter materials. avoid using direct tap water. try usin tank water. chlorine will kill bb's so it needs time to recultivate. tis is when amonia spike happens very dangerous. hope ur fish gets back to normal again soon....

for any aro u get. the abolute minimum size for tank will be 4x2x2. arowanas can grow very big...
4x1.5 would not be big enuf for the fish to make rounds once its about 17-20 inches in size. which is very fast... abt 1 yr if u care for the fish properly can reach tat size already...
of course the bigger the tank the better it is for ur aro....

1 1/2 yrs with me d. bought at 6 inches. im using reptile lights. make sure u get the the white wan. forgot wat brand but a 3ft 1 cost me bout rm50 i think.
main diet sw, feeder fish
on ocasion forggy, centi
normally twice a day but if feeder fish then let him chase lar exercise....

on the shine part the fish will develop slowly after the gold rims develop then inner part color start to slowly come.... after tat 5th level start to develop....
the fish will develop with time wan... color will come if ur water parameters are rite
just give ur fish tlc... it will reward u back

normal rtg only... bought last time abt rm800 or 900 i think.

hehe... last time my 1st silver aro i tried feed raw meat... the bugger eat but water all oily... so 1st n last. kekeke

ketapang leaves... make sure u dry n clean em properly... dont want our aros to get sick do we?

try not to buy those rm180 cannister... taiwan brands wan... i had bad experience... im not the only one who kena... my fren oso kena... not even 1 year... the thing kaput.... it just stopped working. make me luan have to buy another 1 for my planted tank

but of cos... best practice is weekly 10-20% wc.
u take good care ofur water... ur water take good care of ur fish
