No Avatar pic is not the same. Found it online as my inspiration.

Moved my blue shrimp to a none clear glass tank (regretted now!). Moved yellow golden shrimp to clear glass tank but quantity still not increasing.

Thank you for the reply. I have been looking for them for some time now. When I was working at Honolulu, Hawaii few years back, one of my Hawaiian's colleague make an aquarium/tank for me using a plastic cookie jar containing about 10 Hawaii Red Shrimps. My kids love to look at them cause they are small, cute and they swim around doing they own thing. Maintenance was very low too. I changed a bit of the water once a month and feed them a quarter piece of cooked rice once a week. I placed it beside a window so that it could get few hours of morning sun so that some algae could grow. Before we move back to Malaysia, I gave the whole tank to my daughter's teacher as a gift to her. I didn't bring it back to Malaysia cause I scared I will have issue with custom. That is why I am looking for them.

I've read that it said to be the smallest shrimp in the world. I think they are salt water shrimp not fresh water , very hardy n easy maintenance. The only site I know selling is petshrimp.com.

I gave up cycling my tank oredi. Came to a conclusion that to rear shrimp you must bear with worms (nematode, copepod, planaria, detritus) . I personally phobia with all this wiggling creatures arhhhh.
I destroyed my small tank oredi, remove moss spray moss wif h.peroxide n deep soaking in clean water. Dun even know how to catch one rasbora so I figure tat I doze the tank 1st. Aquarium salt, table salt n
malachete green. Stir the soil. Those worms that crawling on glass wiggling non stop then sunk down under. Later rasbora also saffocated on top surface make me easier to catch wif my 2 fingers n faster transfered to my other 2 ft tank. He made it alive I'm glad.Gonna leave tat small tank like tat maybe one week before I can start cleaning wif boil water to wash off the decaying dead corps in soil. Soil probably can be re use after dried under sun.
Im so Sorry every1 if u find tis horribly disgusting n cruel.

The weather is still pretty cold these days so my shrimps damn enjoy.
Plans not fixed yet on how to cool it down during summer. Most likely using fan again.
That's pretty gross.

Yeah I had a major bout with wriggly stuffs (nematodes, planaria, leeches, seed shrimps you name it) too earlier on but now my tank is 90% free of the stuff  sweat.gif

if u manage to kill a large colony of then congrates to you. Luckily mine was in cycle stage so I can decided to gave up.
Detritus worm is said to benefit the soil so its better to let them live but they will start crawling on tank wall when the r lack of oxygen supply. I still can't stand them, just imagine when u enjoying shrimp view n they block ur fungshui view on the tank glass :s

Using reliable RO water , no need anti chlorine,
NO3 nitrate for Crs , max is 40ppm. Neocaridina is 80ppm.
*
This is by far the most honest straight fwd answer I hv seen through out online search in nitrate for crs. Of coz the lesser the better but not many would reveal it.

My Supershrimp from Ray , it's been 3 to 4 yrs I think. Started with 26 of them, now I lost count. There are alot more at the bottom with a few berries. Self sustain tank. Feed maybe once every half year. I rarely observe them now. The tank just need brightness of sunlight that's all.
This video was taken during their daily exercise. They marathon everyday from 2 to 4 pm as many laps as they could. Usually anti close wise. supershrimp
