UOB one
Mbb2card but min income 30k… can squeeze through?
Cimb cash rebate (although only at 2% rebate for petrol, at least no annual fee and no limit like uob one)

QUOTE(cruel_boy @ Dec 2 2014, 03:28 PM)
most of my cc expenses are charged on mbb visa now. since im not at KL, its very hard to make payments for maxis, astro, digi, insurance using amex during weekends. those 4 already accounts for almost rm500. And that doesn't includes other expenses like occasional dining, shopping.

But yes, i need to consider the cons too especially the rm50 gst. thanks for reminding me about it. I didn't factor that in  doh.gif
*
1st year GST is usually waived. maybe you can get it for one year, you know, testing. see if you can cover back

do apple.com provide the free instalment package? sweat.gif
kind of waste if i dont utilise it.
*
no... apple store online is good enough that people will still buy without 0% installment

my understanding is... based on maybank website... you can convert to instalment to 12 months... interest 9% p.a

and this is kinda OT... sweat.gif

ezypay plus

i don't know if this is the only way or best way. i've done it before. best ask at maybank thread from sifus... 9% is ALOT OF INTEREST.

note of advice... find out HOW to get 0% installment plan BEFORE you buy... don't gung ho on iphone6...

1. Annual Income: ~RM44K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Mainly used for Installment Plan (not through merchant)

4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB 2 Cards (mainly AMEX)

5. Looking at CC from: CIMB Cash Rebate Gold MasterCard ?

6. Others: Looking for an alternative Visa/Master card that offers good benefits.

Looking forward to your advice.  biggrin.gif

If mainly for installment... Ocbc silver. they have this automatic conversion to 3 or 6 months 0% installment.

Can look at uob one or citibank cash back.

How About cimb cash rebate?looks very good also
*
depends on your usage really. but the popular answer is mbb2card and there's a good reason for it. like what the other guy said, best you try to understand pros and cons of the cards.

since you mentioned you are in labuan, i think the challenge is whether labuan has many places accepting amex (mbb2card). in klang valley, pretty much quite acceptable in many places...

I read about the AMEX and found a little info regarding CIMB cards. Thats are the problem whether they here using AMEX or not.But is see AMEX giving a nice benefit compare to CIMB. hmm.gif
*
yes, personally any friends who ask me, my first answer is Mbb2card. 5% on everything beats the % by category for cimb cash rebate.

Nope, wanna buy at at phone shop in my town.Do you recommend me cimb or mbb?
*
if the shop accepts amex, GREAT. 5% capped at RM50 rebate AND 5x points with mbb2card. if it doesn't... i rather use hlb essential/ocbc 1% unlimited rebate... buy phone RM1.5k, there's still RM15 rebate.

cimb... 0.2%... spend RM1500, get RM3 rebate... doh.gif

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Dec 20 2014, 06:53 PM)
Aside from PB Visa Signature and Maybank 2 Cards, is there any other card that gives cash back for dining and online payment with no strings attached?

Thanks.
*
for online, you may refer to cimb cash rebate.

Which card best for petrol use? My income below 36k above 24k / annum
*
If above 30k, MBB2Card but only pump petrol during weekends. 5% rebate + 5x points. Weekdays is only 5x points

If not, there’s still cimb cash rebate but only 2% rebate.

There’s still uob one at 5% but there’s that petrol limit.

best to consult users in the uob thread and see in actual calculation what is the rebate percentage. i don't have this card and i don't spend on petrol. tongue.gif

i'm not sure about the transfer part, i assume citi being citi for great service (not sarcasm), should be no problem. can ask at the citibank thread, see any sifu reply.

Just putting a suggestion (but you can ignore me if you have considered), why not citibank cash back instead of citibank rewards. covers petrol and grocery. but not the dining part.

Is it safe to apply online?

i applied my cimb card on cimb website as well. no issue. it's actually just more of email-ing the forms to them rather than submitting hard copies...

aside from UOB, with the disadvantage as mentioned, you can go for citibank cash back instead. there's no petrol cap on citibank cash back but there are other t&c to take note.

1. Annual Income:  RM30K to RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: best if free (gst no problem for me)

3. Card required for: to cover weekdays expenses like petrol, groceries, makan, where AMEX is not accepted punya kedai. (cash back, reward point)

4. Existing credit cards if any: MBB 2 Gold, HSBC visa gold, SC cash back gold

5. Looking at CC from: between UoB one or Cimb cash back master, or any other better card.

6. Others: online foreign currency transaction like (steam, visa application, etc which pay in foreign currency).

thanks.

If you hit 36k, citibank cash back is another option instead of uob one though both have pros and cons.

Also… can you even apply for another? You already have 3? Below 36k wo…

I want to cancel the Standard Chartered Cash Back gold actually (spent rm1500 to qualify for 5% cash back exclude petrol and insurance is hard)..... looking for a better cash back card. rclxub.gif
my location at Kota Kinabalu tiada Citibank outlet. sweat.gif

apply online. GIRO using internet banking for payment.

i'm in Klang Valley, not that i have the time to go to any citibank too. but don't get me wrong, if you think uob suits you better, go ahead. just, lack of citibank outlet shouldn't stop one to apply.

Between Citibank Cashback Platinum and CIMB Cashback Platinum, which one better or easier to accumulate cashback? Was wondering does the annual fee for Citibank worth it compared to the free annual fee CIMB Cashback Platinum.
*
Your spending pattern needs to be considered. I would think Citibank is better, 5% petrol, 2% telco, grocery, pharmacy. Cimb is 5% online, 2% grocery, petrol, utilities/telco (but must be on standing instruction)

Other retail spend rebate is 0.3% (citi) vs 0.2% (cimb). Citibank does have this requirement of accumulating RM50 rebate before paying out.

Also, if citi charges annual fee, then just cancel it after 1 year. It’s waived for 1st year anyway.

why not real?

thought it's not unlimited. i suggest you visit uob website. it's actually 5% rebate of up to RM1k spending.
