Changed my stock tyre to BS GR100 at RM300/pcs (including alignment and balancing plus RM30 PETRONAS voucher) at HT Truck Pasir Gudang, Johor.

I want the comfort with noise reduce tyre, this tyre not that quiet at 1st few hundred km, quieter after 1000km. So far so good for the performance at this price range tyre.

Michelin PS3 205/55/R16 @ RM388/pc at Quick-Save USJ. Include balancing and aligment. I just changed 4 pc for my Civic FD1.

4 years back I changed @ RM450/pc and they lasted 60,000km. Top notch traction and grips!

Which shop in Ipoh doesn't chop people? tongue.gif

got la, bro smile.gif
for example, price diff of 215/45/17 MC5 is about RM20 (Ipoh RM20 more expensive). i think it is reasonable as the turnover in Ipoh is not as great as KL. of coz some other tyre can goes up to RM50 diff.

I'm looking for tyre recommendation.

Size 205/60/R16 . I'm driving a Proton Inspira. Front tyre gonna wear out soon.

I want something which has more grip on the wet than the Conti CC5 , yet not too expensive and must be durable. 1 year my car travels 30k km mileage like that.

I have used Michelin XM1 on my previous car and they can last more than 50k km for my driving style. I don't whack corners since I carrying my family, only straight roads I drive abit faster. Sadly XM1 no longer in production. My current CC5 has very bad aquaplaning when it rains heavily.

I have used Falken ZIEX 912 in the past too, their wet grip is definitely better than CC5 and XM1, buy gets noisy after 20k km mileage. Its just too noisy.

I'm looking at Yokohama AE01 and C Drive 2.

I read overseas forum that AE01 does not last long even for an Eco tyre. I really need some input from the users of AE01. Really so fast botak?

If anyone looking to change 215/50 R17 tyre with Continental MC5 brand, suggest go to PJ if Klang is too far for KL people.

The price is at RM410 (recently used to be RM380) instead of other shops which normally sell RM480 onwards. Probably because Continental Central branch is nearby at PJ.

Address: PJT Service Sdn Bhd, No.2, Ground Floor, Jalan PJS 5/2, Taman Desaria Off Jalan Klang Lama.

Was quoted at Hin Leong:

205/55/16
Falken ZE-522 RM210
Sime Tyres RM190

Time to change tyres before GST kicks in !

I'm planning to change Myvi tires, 175/65R14.. current Silverstone tires worn out pretty bad.. somemore nowadays often rain.. time to change for safety.. after reading some reviews from u guys.. top 2 seems to be XM2 & CC5..

any recommendation for XM2 shop and pricing? Cheras area, or not.. if it's worth travelling all the way there..
I'm inclining towards XM2 as I want long lasting tires..

Pang Tyres in Bangi seems reasonable based on these 2 posts:
