Hi all sifu.

This the list that I copied from the first page of this thread, but I believe it is not the latest price list, for those tyres spec.

Wanna check the current price for the tyres spec as stated above - 225/40/18 and 245/40/18. I know it will be pricey for 18" sized but just wanna get a rough figure so that I can plan for my budget. Tyres don't have to be run-flat type, just ordinary type will do. Currently using Bridgestone Turanza series for all 4 pcs.

And yes, both my front and rear tyres are different in size as my ride is a RWD.

if possible set a budget to see which brand u can get. tyre for 225/40/18 ranges from rm 220+
245/40/18 starts from rm 280 and above

Seriously price ranging from RM220++? Guess I didn't survey on tyre price for quite sometime d doh.gif doh.gif

My budget would be around RM500 per piece. Hope this information helps.

P/S - After my fren's car accident, always have this concept in my mind - DO NOT save budget on tyres as they are the last 4 pcs thingy who stay contact between our car and the road. Of course not unlimited budget, but at least some reputable brand la.

the rm 220 are the cheaper range tyres.
for rm 500 budget u can get brand like achiles, hankook v12 evo2(this tyre very good review),nexen n8000, maxxis ipro etc. all those are branded tyres.

Just to reconfirm, brands quoted above are brand new tyres right?

Actually I am more to either stay back with Bridgestone Turanza, Hankook v12 or Toyo. Still doing survey though.

Message noted with thanks. Will consider thie Hankook V12 evo2 tyres as well. And please share your comment after you have change your tyres to V12 evo2.

Btw, how about those 'Kedai Tayar Import Dari Japan'? Seems like getting more and more this kind of shops in Malaysia. Of course those tyres are year 2012, 2013 or 2014 tyres. Price wise, they are relatively cheaper but how about its reliability?
